Henny was Farmer Berg's
prize hen. She laid the biggest
eggs of all. Now she wanted to
hatch some chicks. But each
morning, Farmer Berg made
his son Peter take Henny's
new egg away. Peter loved
!fenny and wanted to help her.
But when he tried leaving her
eggs, his father found out and
spanked him. So the Peet day,
when the farmer left the gate
open for a minute, Henny
sneaked out of the chicken
yard. She ran deep into the
woods and made a nest, Soon
she had three fine eggs in her
nest. But when she went to get
a drink of water, a skunk
found her nest and ate the
eggs. Henny built a new nest
and laid some more eggs, But
one night a weasel smelled
her. He sneaked up, and Snap!
The weasel almost got Henny!

She enlightened us with some
facts concerning the challenges
of life that confront young
people to-day. She felt a family
needs a strong faith, a home
where love and mutual under-
standing are evident. This
requires patience and trust a
good many times. Everyone is
facing a changing world and
because of this there are many
challenges for both the home,
the church, and the community.
