For Every Kind of Barn
Proven savings of time and labour, health and herd
protection are enjoyed with a Beatty Gutter
Cleaner. With a Beatty Gutter Cleaner the most
time-consuming and distasteful chore on the farm
is gone. Manure is taken from gutter to spreader or
pit in a matter of minutes. Both man and animal en-
joy better health — no open doors to cause drafts
— animals stay comfortable, contented, healthy,
make greater gains.
The Beatty heavy-duty steel elevator, built of rugged
12 gauge steel, gets the manure and its liquids all to
the spreader where they can do the most good. There
are no open seams — delivery side is one complete
trough 12" deep. Centre beam is 12 gauge preformed
steel of bolted construction, forming an integral part
with delivery and return side of elevator to give you a
sturdy bridge-like construction. Cross braced through-
out with welded angle iron, and dip-coated in weather-
resistpt paint, these elevators are available in a wide
range of lengths and gutter widths.
The Swing Elevator is specially designed to pivot up
to 45° to give you greatly increased storage capacity
during the long winter months. The elevator pivots on
a 4,5" .steel post in a cast pivot base. This post is
joined to two supporting posts to form a rigid tripod
mounting. This tripo'd is in turn braced part way
down the post, and the elevator is held up by two
steel brace rods and brackets. The Beatty Swing
Elevator is supplied in 40 ft. lengths, for 18" gutters,
and can be used with a Model "H" or Model "E"
Drive Unit. Either the "Imperial" or "Champion"
Chain may be used.
