Last Monday evening the
congregation of St, Mark's
Anglican church gathered at
the home of Mr. and Mrs.
James Schneider to honor Rev.
and Mrs. Keith Stokes and
family.
The social evening was spent
playing cards, crokinole and
reminiscing,James Towe spoke
on behalf of all the friends of
Keith and Jane Stokes when he
said no words could express
how greatly they will be
missed, not only because of the
great inspiration they have
been, but of the friendship
shown to all.
Gifts of appreciation were
presented to all the family by
Mrs. Elmer Trommer president
of St. Mark's A.C.W.
Rev. and Mrs. Stokes and
family came to four-point
Charge of Blyth, Belgrave,
Brussels and Auburn in Sep-
tember 1969. They are leaving
the end of March for
Leamington.

The March meeting of St.
Mark's Anglican Church
women was held last Wed-
nesday afternoon at the home
of Mrs. Elmer Trommer with
the rector, Rev. and Mrs. Keith
Stokes present.
President Mrs. Trommer
opened the meeting with a
reading .
The topic was taken by Mrs.
Gordon Taylor in the absence
of Mrs. Donald Cartwright. It
was in two parts, WhVitliP,
think of Christ? and He is a
Perfect Man.
Mission theme was given by
Mrs. Thomas Haggitt, Joy the
Christian Experience.
The travelling apron received
a penny for each letter in St.
Patrick's Day. The roll call was
answered by each naming a
good Irish song.
Mrs. Elmer Trommer
presided for the business part
and the minutes were accepted
as read by the secretary, Mrs.
John Daer. The treasurer, Mrs.
Thomas Haggitt gave the finan-
cial statement.
Mrs. Trommer reported that
a large parcel had been sent to
Northern Canada. Several ar-
ticles were left over until
another parcel will be sent
later on in the year.
It was stated that there are
some repairs necessary in the
Rectory at Blyth. The .A.C.W,
members will cooperate with
Blyth and Belgrave to share
the expenses of these repairs.

Sanderson. She opened with a
poem followed by all repeating
the Lord's Prayer.
Mrs. Sanderson welcomed
the guests and members. The
devotional period was taken by
Mrs. Eleanor Bradnock. The
meditation was on a pre-Easter
thought.
Roll call was answered with
the favorite Bible verse. Mrs.
Frances Clark gave a reading.
Mrs. Sanderson was named •
delegate to the Hamilton-
London Synodical meeting to
.be held next month in
Wingham,
Mrs. Clark showed the quilt,
that had been completed and
this will be sent to Seaforth for
the Supply fund of the Huron
Presbyterial,
Mrs. Sanderson introduced
the study book on India and
made the introduction of the
book very interesting and
everyone gained much infor-
mation born her presentation.
Mrs. Duncan MacKay in-
vited the W.M.S. to her home
for the April meeting.

Mrs. Robert Phillips played
several piano solos before the
program commenced. Miss
Nancy Anderson was chairman
for the program and it began
with a sing-song by Lorraine
Chamney with Doris Naylor at
the piano.
Elimination contests were
done and Mrs. Arnold Cook
gave two readings. Miss Shelley
Grange conducted charades
with Miss Karen East, Mrs.
Auston Fults and Mrs. William
L. Craig acting the charade.
Miss' Anderson escorted Miss
Moss and her mother to
decorated chairs on the plat-
form. Mrs. Ross Daer read an
address composed in verse form
by herself, wishing Betty the
best in the years to come. Gifts
were presented by Marilyn
Wightman, Faye Hildebrand
and Yvonne Bean and placed
by Miss Jennifer Grange.
Betty thanked everyone for
their gifts and invited everyone
to come and see the gifts at her
home. Each guest wrote a
household hint and gave it to
Betty.
