The chances of passenger service ever returning to Clin-
ton again became dimmer last week as CNR crews tore
up the landing platform. The terminal has been empty for
several years now as passenger service was discontinued

to know that he fell and frac-
tured his hip.

Mr. and Mrs. Mac. Wilson.

and Darleen Anger are spen-
ding this week with Mr. F. Bur-
dge.
Rev. Paul Packman and
family are visiting Mrs. Pack-
man's parents in Kingston who
are ill this week.

The second meeting of Clin-
ton 4-H' AvaS.' held' qin Wed-
nesday, March 14, at the Clin-
ton Public School.
We opened the meeting with
the 4-H Pledge. There were six
new members. The minutes of
the last meeting were read by
Sheila Dalgliesh.
Everyone answered the roll
call by stating a garment that
they owned made from, a knit
fabric. We filled out our han-
dout sheets, and then divided
into two groups. In the groups
we pinned on the pattern pieces
for two of the new members.

The Tuckersmith Group 1 of
the U,C.W., Brucefield United
Church, met on Monday,
March 12 in the school room
which was decorated with
Shamrocks and flowers.
Mrs. John Broadfoot and
Mrs. M, Haugh had charge of
the devotion. Mrs. Broadfoot
read a poem followed by the
Scripture. Mrs. Haugh gave a
Reading on "St. Patrick." The
offering was received by Mrs.
Haugh and dedicated by Mrs.
Broad foot.
A Hymn was sung with Mrs.
Ham at the piano. Mrs. Haugh
spoke on "what is your label,
get busy and change".
Another Hymn was sung
Mrs. Broadfoot closed, this
part of the meeting.
Mrs. E. Stall, Group
president, took the business
part. Mrs. H. Allen suggested
we have an emergency box for
gifts and flowers for the Group.
The money making project for
April is a cent a meal during
Lenten Season.
An invitation from Goshen
church on March 22nclvtis
ceked, also to Ontario Street
Church Clinton March 25 and
to Seaforth. Easter Thank of-
fering on March 27th. It was
also decided to serve lunch at
the Haugh Auction Sale.
Miss Jane Allan daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Allan
spoke on "Her Majesty The
Cat.", which she won at The
Public Speaking Contest. Mrs.
Broadfoot presented Jane with
a gift. The meeting closed with
a St. Patrick Lu,nch served by
Mrs. Grace Thomson, Mrs. A.
Ham, Mrs. E. Wilson, Mrs. V.
