ARNOLD CIRCLE
The Arnold Circle of Carmel
Presbyterian Church was held
Monday evening at the home of
Mrs. Norma Stretton. The
president, Mrs. Joanne Bell
presided and opened the
meeting with a short story
"What is a mother?"
The worship entitled "The
lonely road" was conducted by
Mrs, Erlene Stewart and Mrs.
Mildred Bell. The Arnold Cir-
cle received an invitation to at-
tend the W.M.S. meeting in
April.
4-H CLUB
The fourth meeting of the
Hensall 4-H "Sew-sews" was
held Monday evening at the
home of Mrs. Bill Fuss.
Finished necklines were
demonstrated and plans for the
Achievement Day fashion show
were discussed. The girls com-
pared their garments to ready
made ones.
PERSONALS
Linda Bell, daughter of Mr,
and Mrs. Robert Heti, has suc-
cessfully passed her Grade 8
piano from the Western On-
tario Conservatory with
honours. Linda is a pupil of
Miss Greta Lammie.
Mr. Fred Brock returned
home on Wednesday of this
week from a stay in University
Hospital, London.
Mr, Howard Lemmon retur-
ned home last week after spen-
ding two weeks with his sister,
Miss Viola Lemmon and un-
dergoing minor surgery in a
Toronto hospital.

The March meeting of the
Hensall Women's Institute was
held in the Legion hall with
president Mrs. B. Beaton in the
chair. The roll call "What I
would like done if I were on the
local council", brought many
interesting answers.
Conveners Mrs. J. Corbett
and Mrs. C. Payne arranged a
most interesting program about
the work of the United Nations,
Mrs. Corbett showed many of
the Nations flags and Mrs.
Payne sang the U.N. hymn.
Others taking part were Miss
A. Lammie, Mrs. E. Riley and
Mrs. P. Bisback. Mrs. W.
Carlile thanked all those who
took part and a contest was
conducted by Mrs. R. Elgie.
Lunch was served by
hostesses Mrs. M. Sherritt and
Mrs. G. Pack and their commit-
tee.
CHISELHURST U.C.W.
The March meeting of the
Chiselhurst U.C.W. was held
Tuesday afternoon at the
Church with president Mrs.
Alvin Cole presiding. She
opened the meeting with a
poem entitled "More truth than
poetry", followed by the theme
song and prayer.
The worship, taken by Mrs.
Earl Kinsman, was entitled
"Green Revolution of India",
Mrs. Fredo Boa was in charge
of the program,
Mrs. Tom Brintnell gave a

Clinton Wee-Wees lost a
heart breaker to Belgrave last.
Saturday when they journeyed
to Blyth to take part in that
town's Minor Sports Tour-
nament.
'1'he Clinton youngsters lost
the "8" Championship by vir-
tue of shots on goal after the
teams were tied 3-3 after
regulation time. In the
following overtime period,
Clinton lost to Belgrave by a 3-
2 shots on goal tally. Officials
only counted shots made on the
goal from inside the blueline.
Clinton's Jim Fleming had two
shots on the Belgrave goal from
centre ice.
In the opening game,
Lucknow defeated Clinton 4.2
to advance to the "A" Cham-
pionship series.

Ann Morrison Foote passed
away in Quoensway Nursing
Houle, Hensall on March 17,
1973 in her 91 st. year. Sur-
viving are three nieces.
The late Mrs. Foote rested at
the Bonthron Funeral Chapel,
Hensall until Tuesday, March
20, 1973 when funeral service
was held at 10 a.m. with Dr.
Stewart of New, St. James
Presbyterian Church, London
officiating. Interment Bairds
Cemetery.
