This reduces the danger of skid ding, and is recommended par ticularly when the road surface is slippery. But there is one potential danger in this tech nique that is little realized, says the Ontario Safety League, If one of the brake lights is not functioning, “pumping” give's the effect of a turn signal to the Other brake light, which could mislead following traffic. Thlis is an additional reason why 'all car lights should be checked frequently, arid replac ed immediately when necessary. By attempting to eliminate its' presence on the Thruway, we hope to reduce sharply the number of accidents we must naw label ‘cause un known’”. -----------o----------- The Ontario Motor League- Taronto Club recently complet ed the Installation of 386 emer gency call boxes on the Don Valley Parkway and the Gar diner Expressway, to benefit stranded motorists.
