Has OFA Support
The marketing committee of
the Ontario Federation of Agri
culture has endorsed the pro
posal made by the Bean Board.
A statement issued on Tuesday
this week by the OFA states
that the committee is favour
ably impressed with the plans.
The OFA statement said that
despite rumours to the con
trary, the bean board intends
to rebate the 1965 stabilization
fund next year, unless a portion
is required to subsidize exports.
The bean board has assured
the marketing committee that
it could readily borrow the
money needed to build the fa
cilities, and that the extra fa
cilities are needed due to a
doubling of production in
past five year period.
