Secretary Mrs. O’Neil read a let­ ter from our prayer partner, Miss Paul, Keg River, Alberta, telling of her work in school there. Mrs. O’Neil gave a paper on seventy-fifth anniversary of Diocese of Atliabaska, Church of England in Canada. Mrs. Cecil Carter, president, » presided for Guild meeting and she thanked the members for their splendid co-operation in making recent bazaar a success. Sandwiches and cake were served by hostess and Mrs. Karl O’Neil, Mrs. Fred Simpson and Mrs. Wilfred Cunningham. A vote of thanks was extended to hostess for her hospitality. A euchre club has been start­ ed and held in Neils school. At one party eleven tables were used. We wish it every success. That is a good way to keep the community spirit alive. The United Church ,held a erokinole party in their basement on Tuesday evening when nine tables were used. Prizes were won by Mrs. Rupert Williams and Mrs. William Northgrave. Refreshments were served and $10 realized for their objective blankets for the triplets, Brian, Bruce and Barbara Sholdice. We are pleased to report Mrs. Gordon Cunningham is home after being a patient in Victoria Hospital. The job of reloading the sugar Leets nt the station has been finished. Bonthron, Hensall Native, Became Successful Accountant* Funeral service was conducted at Pasadena, Cal., for William D, Bronthron, 73, retired Detroit executive, who died last week following a cerebral hemorrhage, Mr. Bronthron who was bom at Rodgerville, south of Hensall, was the son of the late Mr, and Mrs, Robert Bonthron, He was the father of William R, Bonth- ron, famous mile runner of Prin­ ceton University in the *30’s. He came to Pasadena in 193'8, after retiring as chairman of the board of Price Water house Company, ac­ counting firm, New York. He was a member of the California Club, in Los Angeles. Besides his son, Mr, Bonthron is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katherine Bonthron, and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Louise Mc­ Leod, of Phoenix, Arizona,; one brother, Fred G.
