Pensions Urged By LieOry Farm Forum Monday evening Lieury Farm Forum met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Patterson with an attendance of 18. Two groups were formed to discuss the subject, "A Pension for everyone.” It was agreed they must still continue with pension as it now is; others thought they should set the price according to the cost of living. For example, we are now paying such a high price for everything and that $70 would he suitable at present. However all agreed with a war hovering over us the aged and helpless must be cared for. Next meeting will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Mel­ vin Allison. If elected I promise to give careful consideration to the interests of the ratepayers throughout the township and will serve the municipality to the best^ of my ability. The handcraft period was used in decorating book-marks with shells, the book marks will be sent to a missionary in Japan to be used as awards in her work. Marion After Wood, Grand Bend, led a sing­ song of choruses and spirituals and this was followed by the closing vesper service with Mar­ ion Hunter in charge. H. Burgin, Mrs. Frank Routly, Mrs. Nelson Roach and brought in a slate of officers for 1951, to be present­ ed at the annual meetings early this month, Rev. Celebrate Fortieth Wedding Anniversary Well known residents of Kirk­ ton, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Doupe celebrated their fortieth wedding anniversary Thursday, November 30, at their home in Kirkton. Dinner at 12 o’clock was served to some 20 guests by Mrs. Lome Doupe, Mrs. Fred Roger and Miss Shirley Roger.
