Marks Anniversary
A fowl dinner with all
trimmings and a three tier wed

marked the 45th wedding anni
versary of Mr. and Mrs. James
Flynn, of Parkhill, Wednesday
of last week. Before moving to
Parkhill a number of years ago
Mr. and Mrs. Flynn reside south
of Crediton. At the celebration
they received some lovely gifts.
The family consists of three
daughters, Mrs. William Ware-
ing and Mrs. Earl Allen, of Exe
ter; Mrs. Earl Hamilton, of Ali
sa Craig and Robt, of Parkhill.
There are 11 grandchildren and
2 great grandchildren. The bro

neighbours were present. We
wish for Mr. and Mrs. Flynn
many years of health and happi
ness.

Convention Report
Heard At Hurondale
The high light of the Huron

was a report of the District An

by Mrs. Robert Jeffrey.
The meeting was held at the
home of Mrs. E. J. Pym, assisted
by her committee consisting of
Mrs. L. Rowcliffe, Mrs. A. Eas
ton and Mrs. Westcott. An ex
cellent response was made to
roll call "One form of politeness
I admire”. These responses were
accompanied by a gift from each
member for inmates of Huron
County Home.
As a means of raising a con
tribution to the Hospital Fund it
was arranged to hold a public
euchre in Exeter the second week
in January. Detailed arrange
ments are to be made later.
Mrs. Clarence Down was in
charge of the program and gave
the motto, "Many a good inten
tion is wasted for the lack of
attention”. Mrs, Harold Jeffrey
read a poem and favoured with
a piano solo,
A very interesting demonstra
tion on making home-made
chocolates was given by Mrs.
Passmore and each of the mem
bers enjoyed a real treat. The
meeting closed by singing the
Convention Song.
