Kippen Meet Again
Shooters from Goderich, Sea
forth, Kitchener, London, Exeter,
Forest -and Ii^nsall attended the
annual Labor Day shoot at the
Kippen Gun Club in Kippen
on Monday although hampered
slightly by high winds and
cloudy skies.
In the first 50-bird events four
snipers were tied with 42 each,
but John Anderson, of Kippen,
retained his title in the shoot-ol’f
by one bird. Others tied were
Bill Beck, Goderich; Charlie
Parkinson, London; and Bill
Kyle, of Kippen. Competition in
this class was for the Kippen
Gun Trophy.
The 25-bird 1.6-yard event, re
sulted in another tie with Wilf
Hartman of Kitchener and Ches
ter Lee of Seaforth each having

timers here will recall the days
of the 1910 general strike ,on
the Grand Trunk railway when
St. Marys with its newly con
structed C.P.R. spur line was
the only shipping centre for miles
around where heavy freight
could b e loaded. Perishable
goods were hauled into St. Marys
by wagon teams and
shipment was some

Dies Suddenly
Robert Edward Robinson,
died suddenly at his late home
in Goshen Line, Stanley Town
ship.
He leaves his wife, Margaret
Maude Uluss Robinson; one
Douglas, Stanley Township;
daughter, Helen, Mrs. Earl
nan. Hay Township; and
grandchildren; also three
thers, Thomas, of Egmondville;
Richard, Stanley Township; the
Rev. William Robinson, Mani
toba; three sisters, Mrs. Henry
Erratt, Stanley Township; Mrs.
Margaret Erratt, Toronto; and
Mrs. Edward Loudon, Hamilton.
Following a private funeral
from his late residence, public
services were held for Mr. Rob
inson In Goshen Line United
Church, by Rev. Reba Hern.
Burial was in Bayfield Union
Cemetery.
