It was a cool night and the game was marked by erratic pitching and fielding on both sides. Though Johnny Bowman al lowed only one hit, six walks and some fielding blunders al lowed the rivals to keep a 4-2 lead until the sixth inning. Then the locals scored three runs on two hits and four errors to win the ball game. Batting honors went to “Rob bie” Robinson who had a perfect night with three for three. First baseman Fred Darling kept up his .500 average with two for four. Erskine got the only hit for the Goderich nine. The locals Scored their third double play of the season in the sixth! Robinson- picked up a sharp grounder, flipped to Shaw at second (who had pinch-hit for Nicol), and Shaw made a quick throw to Darling.
