Immunization Clinic An Immunization Clinic will again Tie held by the Huron County Health Unit on Friday, February 17, 19 50 in the follow­ ing schools'. 9:30 a.in,—Hensall P.S. 11; 15 a.m.—S.S. 11 Hay 1:15 p.m.—S.S. 1 St. Peter’s (St. Marys School) 2:15 pan.—Zurich P.S. For the most part, these will be second doses but any infants and pre-school children who may have missed the first clinic in this district (January 26) may receive the first dose on Feb­ ruary 17. Third doses in these schools will be given on Friday, March 10. The combined immunization for Diphtheria, Whooping Cough, and Tetanus (Lockjaw) may be given the 'babies and pre-school children of 3 months to 3^ years of age. Children over this age may receive the combined inocu­ lations for Diphtheria and Tet­ anus or Tetanus toxoid alone. Reinforcing doses of Diphtheria will also 'be given where needed. Smallpox vaccinations will be given on the last day of these clinics, March 10. Early protection of children against Diphtheria, Whooping Cough, Tetanus and Smallpox is every parent’s obligation. • Be Wize . . . Immunize! Wolfe, 'Mrs. Gerald Wolfe and 'Carolynne Anu of Clifford spent Wednesday, with 'Mr. and Mrs. Carl Oestreieher. Misses Gloria Kraft and Mary Snell are confined to their homes suffering with the flu. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ogden and Mr, Thus. Ogden visited with Mr. and Mrs. William Nadiger the -past week and left on Satur­ day night for Loudon where they I intend returning to theii’ home I in Fillmore, Sask., on Wednes­ day. Mr, and Mrs. Clarence Beck, Theodore and Gloria, of Detroit, and Mrs. Elizabeth Beck, of Mt. Clemens, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Wrn. Nadiger, also attended the funeral of the late Mrs. John Schlundt, on Sat­ urday. Mr. Samuel Elsie, 65-year-old resident of Dashwood, had the misfortune to fall from a scaf­ fold while working at George Gossman’s new house, fracturing his leg just below the knee, He was taken to St, Joseph’s Hos­ pital in Hoffman’s ambulance, where his leg was put in a cast. Celebrate Anniversaries ■Congratulations are extended to Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Wolfe who on Friday celebrated their thirty-fifth wedding anniversary, also to Mr. and , Mrs. Lloyd Eagleson who celebrated their eleventh Anniversary Saturday. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Wolfe gave a dinner , in their honor, the occasion also being Mrs. Stuart Wolfe’s birthday. ■Guests included Mr. Geo. Wolfe and Miss C. Moore pf Toronto, and Mr. and Mrs. H. Eagleson, of Dashwood. Mr. Corel. Campbell, Windsor, visited with his cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Don Collier during the week-end. He attended the fune­ ral of his aunt, Mrs. S. R. Mae- Math, Goderich. Mr. Irwin, who has been very ill for several months, is improving slowly. Mrs. D. A. Anderson left last Friday for Fort Wayne, Indiana, to join her son-in-law and daugh­ ter, Dr. Ulive and Mrs. McAlis­ ter, on a trip to Key West, Fla. Mrs. Luther Reynolds is ill in Victoria Hospital, having under­ gone an operation. She is get­ ting along as well as can be ex­ pected. Mr. Norman Hockey, who has been home for several weeks fol­ lowing an illness in Victoria Hospital, had a relapse Wednes­ day and was taken to Westmin­ ster Hospital in .an ambulance for a further operation. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Lane, of Fillmore, Sask., visited over the week-end with Mr. Albert Mit­ chell. They attended a meeting of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture at Niagara Falls and also visited their son, Stewart, a teacher at the O.A.C., Guelph. While here they called on friends at Centralia. Dr. W. L. and Mrs. Lawson, Jimmie .and Karen, of Listowel, visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. James Lawson. Mr, Frank Triebner returned home from Victoria Hospital on Sunday evening after a success­ ful operation. Mrs. W. D. Sanders is visiting in Detroit owing to the illness of her sister. Mr. Cecil Skinner was in Hamilton last week attending the convention of the Ontario Temperance Federation. Miss Marjorie Mitchell, Lon­ don, spent the week-end at her home. Mr. Harvey Lane, a former resident of this community, and Mrs. Lane from the West were in the village over the week-end renewing acquaintances. Mr. Lane spoke ibriefly during the Sunday School service on Sun­ day, having attended the Cen­ tralia Sunday School in his boy­ hood days. Mr. and Mrs. George Bayn- ham were in London over the week-end visiting with Mr. E. Carruthers. Mrs. Baynham re­ mained in the city for a few days. Word has been received that Messrs. James Cook and Eldon Murray have arrived in Florida. Mr. Boland and Mr. Edwards accompanied them on the trip. On Monday evening, February 20, the Paul brothers of Kirkton will entertain in the schoolroom of the church. Dashwood Wins 7-2 Dashwood defeated Granton on Wednesday night at Zurich Arena in* a slow moving game on soft ice. Both teams played on even terms 'in the first iperiod, each scoring two goals.
