Mr. Edward Lawson of Clande-
boye passed away on Sunday in
St. Joseph’s Hospital, London.
Mr. Lawson was a former resi
dent of 'Stephen township. He
spent some years in London and
later lived in Lucan where Mrs.
Lawson predeceased him , last
spring.- He is survived by a
daughter and two sons, Mrs.
Cameron Lutz (Reta) and Bruce
of London, John of Clandeboye,
one brother, James Lawson, of
Exeter, trhee sisters, Mrs. F.
Reeder, Centralia, Mrs. T. Wil
son, London, and Mrs. J. Wood-
all, Crediton. The f.uneral was
held on Tuesday from the Murdy

'Christmas concerts were held
in the two local churches.
In the United Church on Tues
day evening of last .week, a large
crowd enjoyed* a sumptuous sup
per which was followed by a
program presented by members
of the Sunday School. The recita
tions, songs and exercises by the
smaller children were greatly
enjoyed, as were the numbers
given by the older members. The
program was very fittingly

Annual Meeting
The annual meeting
Horticultural Society was held
in the basement of the United
Church. Tables were set for 20
people, The convenors were Mrs.
James Willis and Mrs. E. Hum
phreys. After the dinner, games
were played and a short meeting
held.
