Going down to Zurich with only
eight skaters left the Blyth PeeWee
Reps with no choice but to skate
hard from start to finish.
The game got off to a slow start
with Blyth waiting until the latter
half of the first period when Josh
Van Soest with a pass from Dallas
Coultes got Blyth going. Then again
with only two minutes remaining in
the second Arden Coultes took the
pass from Dustin Pennington who
received the puck from Quinton
Sjaarda to get goal number two.
In the third A. Coultes scored
again from Pennington and Van
Soest.
Then Zurich got on the score-
board.
Van Soest feeling that Blyth
needed to get that goal back scored
only 23 seconds later.

The Blyth Atom Local League
team travelled to Teeswater on Nov.
15. The team started out slow, but
found some energy to play the game.
Teeswater would open the scoring
in the first. The remainder of the first
period saw action go from end to
end with several chances by both
teams.
The second period remained
scoreless as well with good saves
made by both teams. With the clock
ticking down, Blyth’s Drew
VanWyk, picked up the puck at the
blueline, skated in unassisted and
buried one for his team to tie the
game at 1-1.
Both teams’ goalies shut the door
in all final shots to keep the score
tied.
