The Brussels Atom Reps took to
home ice this past Sunday against
Ripley. This was the second time
meeting this team. The first game
ended in a 2-2 tie.
Wyatt Machan scored late in the
first, assisted by Noah Terpstra to
take a 1-0 lead.
Ripley was quick to tie it.
Delayna Smith skated through
several players to net her own goal
to put Brussels in the lead again.
Several shifts later, Logan
Kellington stretched that lead to 3-1
with a shot to the far side of the net
with the help of Dylan McNeil.
A minute later, Ripley scored one
through the crowd of players at the
Brussels end to make it 3-2.
In the third period, Ripley tied it.
Machan flipped one in with the
help of Terpstra and Smith to break
the tie. Six minutes later, Smith
stretched that lead with a flip of her
wrist from the blue line to score.
Machan scored his hattrick late in
the third with the help of Terpstra.
Ripley netted one more before the
end of the game, this time by getting
the puck just above the goalie’s
shoulder.
On his toes in net was Derrick
Waechter. Kudos to Mitch McKee
for getting his stick in behind
Waechter to pull the puck out of the
net before Ripley could shove it in.
Joining the Reps from the Local
League were McKee, Terpstra and
Brett Stevenson.
This weekend, the Reps will be
playing in a tournament in
Clifford.
The Brussels PeeWee Reps hosted
Clifford on Wednesday, Nov. 18.
Wyatt Ducharme scored halfway
through the first period, assisted by
Luke McCutcheon. Just under a
minute later, Tim Waechter scored
assisted by Scott Dolmage and
McCutcheon.
In the second period, Hayden
TenPas scored with a shot from just
inside the blue line. He was assisted
by Mitch Kellington. Next shift,
Waechter netted his second of the
game, with the help of Kellington
and Ducharme. With a pass from
Dolmage and Waechter, Reece
McArter shot one in the net over the
goalie’s shoulder to maintain a 5-0
lead.
In the third period, Dolmage
scored with a pass from McArter.
Minutes later, Waechter earned his
hattrick with the help of Ducharme
and Dolmage. Brussels remains
undefeated with this 7-0 victory over
Clifford.
The Blyth Atom Reps winning
streak is at nine, after four victories
this past week.
The boys played BCH and came
away with a 14-0 win. Scoring were
Dawson Coultes, Jacob Coultes,
Brenden Howson, Jared Shearer,
Chad Treble, Cody Treble, and
Gavin Workman. Assists went to
Dawson Coultes, Jacob Coultes,
Parker Gibbings, Howson, Craig
Raynard, Colton Rodger, Chad
Treble, Cody Treble and Workman.
Jeremy Wilts earned a shutout in
net.
Next up were the Goderich
Sailors. The game was a chippy
affair with the locals skating to a 13-
0 win. Scoring for Blyth were:
Dawson Coultes, Gibbings,
Howson, Shearer, Chad Treble,
Cody Treble and Workman.
Franklin Marshall played goal,
earning a shutout.
Zurich was the next opponent.
Blyth won convincingly 9-1.
Scoring were Howson, Shearer,
and Cody Treble. Earning assists
were Dawson Coultes, Jacob
Coultes, Howson, Rodger, Cody
Treble, and Workman.
BCH was the next opponent with
this game ending in a final score of
10-0 for Blyth.
Jacob Coultes, Gibbings, Howson,
Raynard, Chad Treble, Cody Treble,
and Workman completed the
scoring.
Assists went to Dawson Coultes,
Jacob Coultes, Gibbings, Howson,
Rodger, Shearer, Chad Treble, Cody
Treble and Workman.
Wilts earned a shutout.
PeeWees win 7-0

The pressure was on for the Wingham goalie as he struggled to keep the puck out of the net

Blyth Atom streak continues
The Blyth PeeWee Local League
had a busy week with two away
games and one home game, which
ended in two wins and one close
loss.
On Nov. 12, the PeeWees travelled
to Elma Logan. Dustin Treble
played a great game in net and it was
a team effort that ended in a 5-2
victory for Blyth. Goals were scored
by Brandon Marshall, two, Patrick
Franken, Jordan Hubbard, and
Jimmy Lane with assists going to
Hunter Dale, Daymien Brak and
Marshall.
On Nov. 14 the team travelled to
Hensall to play BCH.
Blyth pulled ahead for a 3-0 lead,
but it was a close game down to the
last minute.
BCH stored two quick goals that
saw the game end in a 3-2 victory
for Blyth. Blyth goals were scored
by Dale, two and Brett Glousher,
with assists going to Drew Bromley
and Glousher.
On Nov. 15, the PeeWee played a
home game against Milverton with
Treble playing an amazing game in
the net. A great effort was made by
all of the players that left a 0-0 score
until the last minute of play when
Milverton scored a quick one to steal
a 1-0 victory.
