Livestock for the week ending Sept.
18 were 2,079 head of cattle, 819
lambs and goats. On Tuesday, fed
steers and heifers sold $2 lower.
Choice steers and heifers sold $83 to
$87 with sales to $88. Second cut
sold $80 to $83.
Cows sold on a strong trade at
prices $1 higher. On Thursday
holstein veal sold on a strong active
trade. Beef veal sold steady, heavy
beef sold $2 to $5 lower. Lambs and
sheep sold on a steady market.
Nanny and billy goats sold steady,
while kid goats sold steady to the
week’s decline. On Friday calves
and yearlings sold on a steady
market.
There were 174 steers on offer.
