The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The treasurer’s report and card report were given. A report was given by Mrs. Cartwright, compiled by Betty Archambault about the annual meeting held at the OMFRA office, Clinton. Jane Muegge was the guest speaker. June Robinson, convenor of education introduced Corrie Bos of Blyth. She gave a talk on exercise and why people need to exercise to stay healthy. Walking is also very important. She also demonstrated theexercises that are used everyMonday morning from 9:30 - 10:30a.m. at the Christian ReformedChurch in Blyth. Many took partThursday with the exercises. Anyone is welcome to attend the Monday exercises as well. Gwen Bidwell demonstrated knitting of the plastic milk bags into a rug. Lunch was served by Margaret Siertsema and Gwen Bidwell bringing the meeting to a close. Achievers Hullett Central Public School had its share of achievers on the big stage when it came to the Blyth Legion’s poster, poem and essay contests for Remembrance Day 2008. (Shawn Loughlin photo) Auburn WI meets TOWNSHIP OF NORTH HURON RESIDENTS OF THE VILLAGE OF BLYTH, TOWN OF WINGHAM, AND HUMPHREY SUBDIVISION (BELGRAVE) WATERING RESTRICTION AND CONSERVATION EFFORTS To ensure that the municipality has a sufficient supply of water in case of an emergency and to promote water conservation, the following water policy will take effect JULY 1, 2009. Residents with an even house number will be permitted to water on even days. Residents with an odd house number will be permitted to water on odd days. Watering of gardens, flowerbeds and lawns shall only be permitted during the evening between the hours of 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This watering policy shall remain in effect until September 30, 2009. The Township of North Huron has purchased 150 rain barrels which will be available at our cost of $50. to the residents of North Huron. Central Huron Secondary School Len and Betty Archambault of Auburn won the gold for cribbage in the Huron-Perth-Middlesex Seniors Games District 29.
