We asked the Grade 1/2 class at
Grey Central Public School...
What would you give Santa for
Christmas?
“Since he’s my favourite guy, I
would give him a new hat and a nice
red house coat, and a teddy bear.”
Hayden
“I would give him a new sleigh
because it feels nice to ride on, and I
would give him some cookies.”
Lauren
“I would give him a new sack so
he could put people’s toys in it.”
Camden
“I would give him some milk and
some cookies and give him Santa
Claus toys to thank him.”
Bennett
“I would give Santa bells to put on
the elves’ hats and shoes so Santa
can hear them when they’re not
making toys. I would also give him a
new bag for his toys.”
Adam
“I would give him a Nintendo DS
because he does lots of work, and I
would give him a toy monster truck.”
Lucas
“I would give him cookies
because he likes cookies, and I
would give him milk. I would also
give him reindeer treats.”

“I would give him a camera
because he’s nice and he gives
everyone toys.”

“A puppy! I would give him a
puppy to help him by holding the
sleigh for him.”

so one of the other reindeer could
take a break.”

Gifts for Santa
Grey Central Public School’s Grade 1/2 class got to do some role reversal, and decided what
they would give Santa for Christmas. Answers varied widely, with some saying the staples like
milk and cookies and snacks for the reindeer while others saying they would give Santa things
to relax. Shown are, back row, from left: Avery, Andon, Ryan, Chance, Carson and Adrian.
Middle row, from left: Camden, Hayden, Brooklyn, Telle, Lauren and Adam. Front row, from
