Blyth PeeWee Local League team
beat Wingham 9-0 and BCH 4-2
On Nov. 28, the Wingham PeeWee
Local League team travelled to
Blyth, only to be sent home with a
loss by the lopsided margin of 9-0.
Scoring in the first period were
Patrick Franken and Craig Raynard.
Going into the second, goals went to
Owen Andrews and Raynard. The
third period brought many more
goals with Gavin Workman earning
a hattrick. Also scoring in this period
were Andrews back from an injury,
and Franken. Earning another
shutout in net was Franklin
Marshall, with help from his
teammates.
On Nov. 22 the Dogs travelled to
Clinton to play the BCH Icedogs.
The Icedogs won the first period
with one goal, but Blyth came back
to win the game by a score of 4-2.
The Bulldogs came back in the
second to tie the score with Jeremy
Wilts scoring the first goal, and
Owen Weber earning the assists.
The Icedogs didn't care for this and
came back to tie it up. It was back-
and-forth action but the Bulldogs
didn't want the period to end in a tie.
Franken scored with the help of
Raynard with only 8.7 seconds
remaining on the clock, allowing the
Bulldogs to win this period.
After a short intermission break
both Dogs were back on the ice.
With only 3.59 left on the clock,
Raynard scored with the help of
Colton Rodger. This gave the
Bulldogs a one-goal advantage.
BCH thought they would pull a
fast one over the Bulldogs and
pulled their goalie. However, with
only 44 seconds left on the clock
Raynard shot from his blue line and
hit the empty net to end the game.
