Although the end of the semester
is right around the corner, and
students are looking forward to a
time of rest and relaxation, this is
the most ‘stressful’ time of the year.
Jan. 18 marks the beginning of
Quiet Week at St. Anne’s, and ask
that students are expected be in class
as much as possible. This time is
especially important as teachers are
reviewing and preparing for final
exams.
You never know when they may
be dropping a hint or two.
In other news, St. Anne’s made
some serious noise at Huron-Perth
swimming, as the team took the
overall champions’ title.
Many competitors will be
swimming at the WOSSAA
Championships in February. The
boys’ hockey team won their game
against GDCI, 4-2, while the girls’
team lost to F.E. Madill, 2-0.
The regular season will wrap up
after exams, with both teams
contending for Huron-Perth titles.
Students paid $2 on Tuesday and
Friday for extra civvies days. The
money raised went to support two
local organizations the Alzheimer’s
Society and the Huron-Perth United
Way. Over $1,000 was raised from
these events.
Based on tragic events that
occurred this week, plans are
underway to support the local
Salvation Army and the people of
Haiti.
Parents should encourage their
children to prepare for exams in the
upcoming week. And remember, see
the website to answer ques-
tions and for information
