The robot gadget beeps a drowsing motorist into wakefulness and flashes an amber caution light when he drives recklessly. How does it work? The 1 developer of the unit found each driver has a definite pattern ,of steering wheel reversals as personal as a fingerprint. The reversals slow down when you drowse • and speed up considerably when you're tense. The pattern is so distinct, drivers tend to adjust their speeds according to their rate of wheel reversals rather than the other way around. The robot simply picks up a pattern during the first few minutes of operation, stores it, then measures up the rest of your driving against it. Black box warns driver The 'Peal midgets -eliminated Goderich and Huron Park this week to advance against Listowel for the WOAA championship and the right to compete in the OBA playoffs, After defeating Goderich 8-5 in Clinton on Tuesday, Goderich were a little tougher at home on Thursday night, Danny Colquimun' who scored 4 of Clintons 7 runs led off the game with a single then scored on Ron Graham's infield hit, giving the Lions an early 1,0 lead. After 3 innings, Goderich built up a 5.1 lead on 5 hits off Steve Switzer. While Goderich batters were having a field day, Clinton's couldn't buy a hit for four innings. In the 6th, Danny Colquhoun and R. Graham scored on Steve Switzer's double. Colquhoun scored again in the 7th to close the score to 5-4. Clinton went ahead in the eighth when Steve Switzer and Tim Murch scored on Neil Mustard's single. Then in the ninth Colquhoun scored his 4th run on Steve Switzer's second hit of the game.
