STEER something blue McLEAN—ELLIOTT Arrangements of white gladioli, carnations, magnolia and ferns formed the background for the marriage of Patricia Jane Elliott and John Arthur McLean in the Blyth United Church at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 1970. Mr. and Mrs. lerank Elliott, Blyth, are the parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith McLean of Seaforth. The double-ring ceremony was performed by The Rev. Cecil Wittich. The bride., given in marriage' her Mather, chose a• floor length gown of white imported voile and peau de sole with an all-over motif of small bow knots. The shirtwaist design with weskit styled bodice, long bishop sleeves and small pointed collar, was accentuated by a wide satin sash, forming a soft flat bow at the empire waistline. Her long tulle veil was held gracefully by a cap headpiece-to co-ordinate with her gown. She carried a strand bouquet of stephanotis and magnolia foliage. Miss Lynn Elliott was her sister's maid of honor, wearing a floor length gown of mint green dotted swiss voile, styled similar to that of the bride's, with matching crownless picture hat. She carried a colonial bouquet of miniature mixed flowers: Master Jeffrey Peck, Kippen, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer. Kim McLean, Toronto; brother of the groom, was best man. McLEAN The soloist, Miss Rita Bezzina, London, friend of the bride, sang the theme song from "Romeo and. Juliet" and "The Wedding", accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Margaret Kai of Oakville. Following the wedding, guests attended a dinner at the Candlelight Inn, Goderich, followed by a going-away party at the: home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Elliott. The bride's mother received guests wearing• a dress and stole of coral Lutesong crepe with French beaded trim, matching accessories, and tiny puree corsage of stephanotis and Polynesian "Sunset roses. The groom's mother chose aqua silk shantung with jewel trim, white accessories, and a corsage of miniature pink carnations and deep pink roses. For travelling to a Honeymoon Lodge in" Pennsylvania, the bride wore a turquoise polyester shantung dress and matching jacket, white accessories and a corsage of deep pink roses. Tile couple will reside in London, CR ICH—MOSER Grace United Church, Tavistock, was decorated with white and yellow chrysanthemums and fern recently for the wedding, of Barbara Patricia Moser and Beverley Roy Crich. Rev. J. W. Seibert officiated at a double-ring ceremony. The organist, Miss Been. Mohr played the wedding music and accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Bessie Rounds. The bride IS the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elton Moser, Tavistock and the bridegroom' is the son of Mrs. Margaret Crich, RR 1, Clinton, and the late Wilbert Crich. Given in marriage by her father, the bride's gown was chiffon over taffeta trimmed with lace and featured a lace edge detachable chapel train. Her veil was held by a head piece of rhinestones, She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations. Attending the bride were Mrs. Elsie Zadow, cousin of the bride, Eganville, as maid of honor; Mrs. Eric Leiskie, cousin of the bride, Eganville; and Miss Marlene Crich, sister of the groom, Clinton. The attendants wore blue and pink chiffon over taffeta floor-length gowns. Matching double bows formed their headpieces and each carried a bouquet of tinted shasta daisies. The best man was Freeman Querengesser, friend of the bridegroom, Waterloo. Guests were ushered in by Edmund Reinert, cousin of the bride, Eganville, and Arnold Crich, brother of the groom, Clinton. A reception was held at Tavistock Legion Hall with- guests attending from Eganville, Pembroke, Kernpville, Manitoba, St. Catharines, Kitchener, Waterloo, Goderich, Wingbarre Clinton, Londesboro, Sebringville, Lake Side, Stratford and Tavistock. After a honeymoon spent at Manitoulin Island and Northern Ontario, the couple are residipg at 73 Jacob St., Tavistock. STE E R —SCHWAB The Roman Catholic Chapel at CFB Clinton was the scene July 25' for the wedding at which Irene Magdelena Alma Schwab and James Richard Steer, both of CF13 Clinton, exchanged vows and rings. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schwab, CFB Clinton, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Steer, North Vancouver, BC. Organist was Mrs, Ann Beliveau and the chapel was decorated with white carnations. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white semi-formal lace dress with blue crystal buttens. A matching blue crystal tiara held her white shoulder-tip veil. She wore white wet-look shoes and carried sweetheart roses with shasta daisies. Maid of honor was Miss Diane Delcellier, Ottawa, who chose a semi-formal pink brocade dress and carried white shasta daisies tied with pink ribbons. Dallas Unland, CFB Clinton was groomsman. The reception was held in Building 107 at CFB Clinton. Guests were received by the bride's mother in a blue fortrel suit, white accessories and a corsage of pink, carnations, and the groom's mother in a pink French lace ensemble, pink accessories and a corsage of white carnations. The couple is residing at Morgan's Trailer Court .but will be moving to Yorkton, Saskatchewan, where the groom has been transferred. Prior to the wedding, the bride was honored at a shower at CFB Clinton with co-hostesses Miss Diane Delcellier and two sisters of the bride, Patsy and Shelly Schwab, Sixteen people attended. SCHLEICH—ST. LOUIS Rev. E. D. Stuart officiated at the double-ring ceremony in Brucefield United' Church when Gail Elizabeth St. Louis became the bride of William Joseph Schleich, London. The church was decorated with baskets of red and white gladioli for the wedding. The bride is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Joseph Jolliffe, Seaforth, and the groom is the son of Paul Schleich, London. The bride wore a full-length Aline gown with an empire waistline. Lace appliques were scattered over the skirt. Lace trimmed the scoop neckline and the three-quarter length flared sleeves. Her full-length cathedral train which fell from the shoulders was also trimmed with lace appliques, Her silk illusion bouffant shoulder-length veil was held in place by a cluster of rhinestone and pearl flowers, and she carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and white carnations. Maid of honor was Miss Phyliss St. Louis, sister of the bride, Seaforth. Bridesmaids were Miss Sharon Baird, Brucefield and Miss Linda Pullen. London. Flowergirl was MR. the groom's niece, Tammy Schleich. The senior bridal attendants wore full-length empire waisted gowns of gold peau de sole with long full sleeves of printed georgette. They wore bronze daisies in their hair and carried clusters of bronze and yellow mums. The flowergirl wore a short • sleeveless dress of white lace over green. She carried a basket of yellow and bronze mums and daisies. Groomsman was Robert Schleich, brother of the groom, St. Thomas. Ushers were Douglas St. Louis, brother of the bride, Clinton and Ronald Tychynski, London. Guests from Peterborough, St. -Thomas, London and the surrounding area were entertained at the Seaforth Curling Club. The couple left for a Wedding trip to the Thousand Islands and New York State. The bride changed to a pink crimpknit dress, white accessories in the wet-look and a corsage of deep rose colored carnations. On their return they will reside in St. Thomas. Before her marriage, the bride was the guest ' of honor at a shower given by friends and held in the Brucefield United Church. There was also a shower at the home of Mrs. Sharon Schleich, St. Thomas. JOSLING CORRIVEAU Baskets of white mums and shasta daisies decorated St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church recently for the wedding of Elaine Margaret, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Al F. Corriveau, Clinton, to Neil Willis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Josling, Londesboro. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Kelly of Clinton, assisted by, Rev. Heckendorn of Londesboro United Church. Traditional music was played and sung by Mrs. Robert Le Beau. Given in marriage by her father ' the bride chose a white fitted floor-length gown of peau de sole featuring lilypoint sleeves with inserts of guipure lace. An attached cathedral-length train of peau de sole with inserts of guipure lace cascaded from, the back. Her headpiece was a wedding band trimmed with pearls with a fingertip veil. She carried a white Bible with pink talisman roses with streamers of rosebuds and ivy. Miss Bonnie Perdue, cousin of• the bride, was matron of honour. Miss Gail McCarty, friend of the bride, Alliston, and Miss Betty &Whig, sister of the groom, were ,bricleSinaidS. All were Owned iri flOor-lerigth gowns of mint green sheer over peau de sole. Their headpieces were yellow Shasta mums and they tarried bouquets Of yellow shasta inuma and ivy. The attendants all wore cultured pearl necklaces and earrings, gifts of the !nide, The groomsman was Lloyd foaling and the ushers were Paul Josling and Kenneth Josling, all brothers Of the gretein. For the reception at Londesboro United Church parlours, the bride's mother received, the guests in a coral pink acetate nylon lace dress with white accessories and corsage of white carnations. The groom's mother assisted in a white crimpelene dress with navy accessories and corsage of pink carnations.
