CLINTON 41-BRODHAGEN 29 Clinton collected 2 runs in the first two innings, then coasted the rest of the way to a 41.29 win over Brodhagen in Brodhagen Wednesday. Dianne Cunningham, Cindy Colquhoun, Deannie Strong and Pattie Kay belted homers. Deannie added a triple and four singles and scored six times. The home runs by Dianne and Pattie came with the bases loaded. Dianne Cunningham went five innings as pitcher and Sandra Fremlin finished up. Joyce Neilans was behind the plate. CLINTON 24-MOOREFIELD 16 At home on Saturday, the girls cahne back from a 5-2 first-inning deficit to beat Moorefield 24-16. There were six homeruns in all. Joyce Neilans and Micky McPherson hit back-to-back homers in the fifth and Micky and Sandra Fremlin achieved the same feat in the sixth. Sandra also hammered a homer in the second and Sally Walden scored the other homer in the third. Dianne •Cunningham pitched the first five innings with Sandra Fremlin going the rest, of the way. Trophies presented at July meeting The South Huron Rabbit Breeders' Association held their July meeting last Tuesday evening in the Elimville Hall with a very good turn out of members. President David Stanley opened the meeting with a special welcome to new members present. The long delayed trophies from the spring show were presented to Bob Brand, Ruby and Louis Masnica by Bill Dickey, George Carpenter and David Stanley, respectively. A committee was named to prepare for the fall show planned for October 17. Bob Brand, George Carpenter, Jim Donaldson, Bill Dickey and Nick Betts were named. Plans were made by the club to sponsor a booth at Exeter Fall Fair for the sale of rabbit burgers and the distribution of club literature. August 23 was chosen as the date for the annual club picnic. Auctioneer for the Dutch auction was Angus Murray and the winner was Bea DeForrest. A lunch followed the meeting. The next meeting will be held on August 11. Murray-Reid reunion held in Goderich The' Murray-Reid Reunion, was held in Harbour Park, Goderich, on Saturday, July 18. It was a full day, dinner at 1 p.m. and supper at 6 p.m. Sports included baseball, dart throwing, and swimming. The older folk relaxed and visited. The group included members from Saginaw, Royal Oak and Huntington Woods, (Mich.), Weston, Kitchener, Sault Ste. Marie, Wallaceburg, Forest, Exeter, Egmondville, Clinton, Goderich and Varna. KELLER The results of parent-teacher discussions held throughout Huron County during the winter months were disclosed at Monday evening's meeting of the Huron County Board of • Education. A summary of the findings tabled at the meeting by the director of education, John D. Cochrane, showed that most parents favor psychological services to assist in learning difficulties; guidance services, especially in Grades 7 and 8 to assist students entering high school; up-graded library services; sex education handled by qualified teachers; French in all elementary schools; optional subjects such as music and art in secondary schools; adult education in the form of extension courses and the arts; and school use after normal hours. "Many additional suggestions were put forth," Mr. Cochrane said in his report. "Although all of these suggestions deserve serious consideration, each must be subjected to a serious study regarding need, cost, and need vs. cost before any concrete suggestion or recommendation can be made."
