Sims who died in St. Joseph’s Hospital, London, August 25, in his seventy-eighth year, were conducted from the Hopper- Hockey funeral home on Friday by the Rev. A. E. After moving to Exeter nearly 30 years ago, he was employed at Canadian Canners, retiring in 1943. He was a member of Main St. United Church. Mr. Sims’ wife, the former Elizabeth Ann Appleton, died in 1946. He is survived by one son Melvin, of Windsor, and daughters, Verda, Mrs. Cresent Dayman, Usborne, Robert Turnbull, Thomas Walker, Mrs. Fred Hatter, all of Exeter. Pallbearers were Messrs. Ducharme Dies In Drysdale Mrs. Mary Ducharme, 84, widow of Joseph Ducharme died at her home in Drysdale on August 22. She is survived by six sons, Alfred, of Farmington, Mich., Joseph Maymont, Sask., Peter, of Stanley township, Delor, Law­ rence and Willard, of Detroit, and five daughters, Mrs. Leon Bedard and Mrs. Ed. Corriveau, Hay township, Mrs. Elmer Sharky, Marine City, Mrs. Ru­ dolph Etue, Seaforth, and Mrs. Anthony Masse, Goderich. The body rested at the West­ lake funeral home, Zurich, un­ til Sunday, then at her late home until Tuesday when requiem mass was sung in St. Peter’s R.C. Church, St. Joseph.
