the Bruins 2-1. Scoring for the

BY BERT CLIFFORD
The Mustangs drew a
full-house crowd to the game in
Mitchell on Tuesday night, Dec.
7 and came out on top with a
6-4 win.
Tough refereeing kept the
game fairly tame after the last
meeting of the two clubs had
ended unpleasantly.
Mitchell was assessed 20
penalties while Clinton was
tagged for 13. Ron Graham
finished three power plays with
goals, one in each period. After
coasting to a 6.2 lead, the club
let up a little and Mitchell
popped in two quick goals at the
12-minute mark in the third and
finished off with a sloppy goal at
17:32.
As in his past games, Fred
German had a good night and
took some slamming around by
the rough Hawks. Stu Mustard
picked up two points on a goal
and an assist to tie with Dave
Revington of Lucan for first
place in the league scoring race,
Bantam House League
Maple Leafs continued to
lead the Bantam House League
After games played on Dec. 7 as
they knocked Cantla,s 4-2.,

results
Due to the fact that I was away to the Pee Wee hockey
game in Clinton, N.Y., last
weekend we are one week late in
getting the results to the paper,
but better late than never.
DECEMBER 4
First game saw the Bruins win
over the North Stars 1-0 by a
quick goal put in the net by
Grant Morgan.
Second game was a one sided
game with the Kings beating the
Canadiens 4-0. fan Fleming
played a good game getting two
goals and Steve Lobb and Jim
Fleming getting one each.
Stu Mustard and Ron Graham buzz around the Lucan net during the third period of the 014A
Junior p game at Clinton Community centre Friday night. Lucan stormed back in the third period
to give Clinton a scare, but the Mustangs held on for a 7.6 win.
Mustang gs back in first place
Two wicked slaps netted Wayne
Arthur goals in the third period
and a third goal was nullified by
an offside call on a teamate.
Coach Bill Weber put Arthur
up on the forward line along
with John McKinley and put big
Gary Cummings back on
defence. The move paid off with
McKinley picking up three
assists while Cummings played a
great game on defence.
