Madelon Mclliwain led the bowlers in the Bayfield league last week with a 263 single and 710 triple while Jan Koene had a 224 single and Lloyd Huffman had a 604 triple for the men. The Alley Dusters lead the League with 38 points followed by Ding A Lings with 34, Nobody's Business with 34 and Misfits, 34, Swingin' Six lead the way in the Londesboro Ladies League with 52 points followed by Rolling Pins with 40, Dot's Dolls with 38 and Ding Dong Bells, 38. Audrey Thompson led the ladies with a 295 single, while Brenda Radford had a 724 triple and Dorothy Carter had a 195 average. Jeff Colelough's fast skating and hard slap shots helped him again as he scored three goals for the North Stars and Joe McMahon scored one. The two scorers for the Kings were Ian Fleming and brother Jim Fleming making it a 4-2 game for the North Stars. Peewees on winning streak Shirley Hargreaves led the ladies with a 234 single and 603 triple. Mel Graham and Tony Vandendool had the top men's single with 266 and Mel Graham had the top triple of 749. Keith Allen had a 288 single and 739 triple in action in the Londesboro men's league this week, Cliff Saundercock had a 229 average and the most improved bowler was .Tom Duizer with a plus of 42. Fords lead the league with 49 points followed by Dodges, 32; Chevs, 32 and VWs, 27. In the Crown Junior League the Ballbreakers lead the way with 32 points followed by Sharpshooters, 29; Alley Cats, 25; Pete's Penguins, 24 and Strikers, 24. Bonnie Philips led the girls with a 189 single and 356 double and Brad Atkinson had a CLINTON 4 — MITCHELL 1 Clinton Pee Wees opened their schedule on Tuesday, Nov, 23, in Mitchell winning 4.1. There were only three penalties, all to Mitchell. Derek CLINTON 6 — HENSALL 1 Clinton Pee Wees played the second game of the schedule on Nov. 25 and on their home ice defeated Hensall 6-1. Clinton drew three penalties and Hensall four. Peter Thompson had two goals and one assist; Robert Taylor, two goals; Robert Heard, one goal and an assist; Rick Tye, a goal and an assist; Bill Roy, one goal; John McMahon, two assists and John Hart, an assist. CLINTON 5 — GODER ICH 1 Clinton travelled to Goderich for an exhibition game on Saturday night. Goderich opened the scoring at the three minute mark, but it was Clinton from there on in, Robert Heard was the big gun, with one goal and three assists, Single goals were scored by Robert Taylor, Ray Wheeler, John McMahon and Peter Thompson. This was another Clean, hard skating game with only three penalties handed out, one to Goderich and two to Clinton. HOUSE LEAGUE BRUINS 5 — CANAD IE NS 1 The Canadiensl Paul Taylor opened the scoring on an unassisted goal, but from there on, were stopped cold by Bruins goalie Jim Moon. When the Bruins started to roll in the third period, everyone got onto the scoreboard. Single goals were scored by Randy, Garrow, John McMahon, Bill Roy, Robert Taylor and Craig Miller. Steve Campbell had two assists arid Andy Jamieson one. RANGERS 4 LEAFS 1 The Rangers had only 10 players dressed to the Leafs 12, but were ahead 4-0 when Rick Taylor scored his team's only goal. Pot the Rangers it was Paul Wise with two goals and singles to Pete Thompson and Tim Bird. Rick Tye picked up two assists 0 and Ray Wheeler one. On Saturday, Dec. 4, there will be no house league games, as the Pee Wee A's will be in New York. Instead, the Pee Wee team will play on their home ice, taking on the Brussels All Star Pee Wees, Mr. Morrison will select a f3 team for the Saturday game from those boys who are out for the 'Thursday night practice at 5:30. If this trial game is popular, it is hoped to arrange more games for the Pee Wee teams. Jackets Sifto Salt moved into a position of solo control over first place in the Central Huron Hockey League this week as they now hold a total of nine points after four wins and one loss as, well as a single tie game. Building Centre and Bayfield are tied for second place just one point, back, each having identical records of three wins, two losses and two tie games, The juveniles have won three, tied three and lost none for six points and tie with DRMCO who have six points as well with three wins and four losses but no tie games, Hohnesville is in the cellar with one win, five losses and one tie. Action opened as usual on Tuesday evening' in Clinton this time the game saw the Juveniles down Holmesville 5-2. The first period ended scoreless but early in the second frame the Juveniles took quick and undisputed control scoring four goals. Stu Asher scored from Bruce Stoll and Dave Graff at 1:23, Graf scored from Allan Shelton at 5:08, Asher scored his second goal of the game unassisted at 8:21 and Stoll wrapped it up for the Juveniles at 12:02 with the assist going to ,Wayne Ladd. Asher completed a hat trick at the 13 second mark of the third frame with Dave Graf assisting. Holmesville seemed to rally in that final frame getting on the scoreboard twice as Bill Hoggarth connected from Mel Homer on two occasions but it wasn't enough. Hoggarth scored at 8:11 and 13:48. On Wednesday night in Goderich Sifto Salt exploded for a 10 goal scoring spree as they dumped Bayfield 10-4. Bayfield managed to take the lead for a short time early in the game when Joe Livermore scored from Gord Fisher at 4:30. Sifto Salt open up for three markers, however, as Tom Crawford scored from Ken Daer at 8:34, Daer scored unassisted at 13:35 and Wane Fisher connected on a play set up by Jim McAstocker and George Collinson at 14:16. Bayfield ended the scoring of the first period on a goal at 14:24% by Livermore from Fisher. Sifto began to show definite control of the game in the second period as they scored three opening goals. Daer sunk 1.IY BERT CLIFFORD Ron Graham's fifth goal of the season capped a win for the Clinton Mustangs over Lambeth Flyers and gave them a tie for first place in the OHA Western Junior D league. The game was almost exactly a repeat of the last meeting of the two teams only this time C i nTt eoann shemeoarteeds tBill i sn nt Stirling and Stu Mustard put Graham in the clear for the winning goal. Stirling set up both goals and now has eight assists for the season. His first setup was a power-play goal at 6:46 of the third when Lambeth were playing three men to ClintorN four, Stu Mustard scored the goal. The goal came less than a minute after Lambeth actually outshot the locals 8.7 in the first and 11.9 in the second. Midway through the second, One from Wayne Draper at 9:14, McAstocker from Crawford at 8:49 and Crawford from MeAstocker at 9:01, Livermore completed a hat trick as he scored unassisted for Bayfield at 12:52, Wayne Draper came on strong for Sifto in the final period as he opened the scoring at 4:16 from Tim O'Brien and Crawford and then dumped in another from Crawford at 4:27, Cord Fisher split up the rush for Bayfield at 5:58 as he scored with an assist going to George Gould but Draper came back for another one at 10:23 this time with no assistance. McAstocker completed a strong game at 17:58 as he scored from Daer. The opening game of Sunday evening's double header at the Goderich Arena saw DRMCO edge the Juveniles, 4.3. Jim Parrish scored unassisted to put DRMCO in the lead at 4:01 of the first period and the score remained at 1-0 until 3:58 of the second frame when Harold Leddy put DRMCO another point up as Parrish assisted. Sam Meriam connected from Al Shelton at 6:00 and Bruce Stoll from Stu Asher at 12:15 to tie the game up for the Juveniles. The Juveniles then took the lead at 2:27 of the final period as Stoll scored again this time from Graf, DRMCO took over, however, and tied going on to win on carbon copy plays by Del Bedard from Harold Leddy at 5:50 and 17:28. The second game of the evening was close as well this time Bayfield and Building Centre played to a 3-3 deadlock. The first period ended scoreless but Jim McLeod opened the second frame quickly putting Building Centre in the lead at the 37 second mark as Jim Harrison assisted. Joe Livermore tied it' up for Bayfield from Gord Fisher at 5:04 and Building Centre took the lead again at 7:42 when Bob Dick connected on a play set up by Rick Sowerby and Dennis Lassaline. Bayfield tied the game at 8:02 again when Livermore scored his second goal with no help. Rick Sowerby put Building Centre out front when he scored assisted by Dick at 8:14 but Bill Wedlock, scored for Bayfield at 11:26 from Wayne Doak and German stopped Steele on a breakaway and from then on the defence allowed only long shots. In the third period the game was at a tremendous speed and gave the crowd a look at how good Junior hockey can be. The size of the home crowds are disappointing and the team management are looking forward to a big turnout this year as the team battles to stay in first place. The game proved another change for the Mustangs when for the first time in 10 games, they outscored their opposition in the third, Clinton picked up five penalties to 12 by Lambeth. Clinton has a chance to move out in front Tuesday night against Tavistock. Friday, Mitchell makes their final visit to Clinton. In the two previous games, each team has won a game. Sue Murray had the best single of 263 while Mert Elliott had the best triple of 657. Tuckersmith Mixed League sees Isabel's Indians on top with 42 points followed by Ann's Angels with 32; Ruby's Rebels with 26; Anna's Arrows, 24; Betty's Bullets, 22 and Jo-Ann's Jets, 22.
