On March 27, at Teen TOM
the teenage Curling Banquet was
held. The teams that competed
in the teenage curling were
there, and the trophies were
handed out.
The first place team consisted
of skip, Terry Wright; third,
Brenda Paulin; second, Dana
Mason; and lead, Jo Ryan.
The second place team
consisted of skip, Keith Arnott;
third, Mike Walker; second,
Kathy Malcolm; and lead, Janet
Mason.
There was dancing after the
dinner with music supplied by a
disc jockey, A good time was
had by all.

The Adastral Park Figure
Skating Club at CFB Clinton has
completed a very successful
season under the direction of the
professional Mr. Bruce Brady
and the amateur coaches.
The 77 skaters enrolled with
the club passed 121 national
skating badges and 26 CFSA
tests. During this past year the
club also held a coaches clinic, a
test day, and a judge's school.
This is the completion of the 5th
year of operation for the CFB
Clinton Figure Skating Club.

Visit To The Sugar Bush On Thursday, the Guides of
the 2nd' Clinton Company
visited a sugar hush near
Bayfield, to find out how sap
was changed to syrup. The
leaders of' the expedition were
Mrs, Price, Mrs, Harper, and Mrs,
Lawson.
The 23 girls tasted the raw
sap and later had some syrup,
They saw how the sap was
turned to syrup and that the
amount of sugar in the sap is
measured with a hydrometer.
The Guides would like to
extend their sincere thanks to
Mr. Schilbe, owner of the sugar
bush.

A "Sport's Banquet",
arranged by the Adastral Park
Community Council and served
by Teen Town members, was
held on Wednesday, April 7, at
the CFB Clinton Recreation
Centre. Members of various
winter Sporting activities were
honored at this time.
The banquet was attended by
the children's bowling teams.
Mrs. Ingram presented
trophies to the following people:
Brenda Paulin, senior girls' high
single; Kim Nicholls, senior girls'
high .average; Mike Wardell,
senior boys' high single; Andre
Rapine, senior boys' high
average; Sandra Fulton, junior
girls' high single; Lana Exley,
junior girls' high average; Brian
Leask, junior boys' Pugh average;
and David Weir, junior boys'
high single.
Congratulations to the
winners, and everyone involved,

Banquet" at CFB Clinton, figure
skating was included,
Mrs. Mary Cummings,
president of the, Adastral Park
Figure Skating, --made a speech
on what Adastral Park Club has
been doing during the year.
Seven-year-old Marcie
Brolund was mentioned for
passing from Beginner's to
Novice 2, a total of S badges in
one year.
Melanie Hack was also
mentioned as showing great
ability in figure skating.

Richardson made it possible for
the boys getting the trophies,
since Community Council
couldn't raise enough money to
supply each boy, who played
hockey, with a trophy,

Danny Page with a trophy for
Most valuable player and Rich
Phillips for most improved player of the Bantam team.
Previously, Butch Heiple
received a hockey stick for
honorable mention in the most
improved player group.
Captain Thiessen handed out
the trophies to Daryl MacDonald
for most valuable player and
Edward Lynn for most improved
player of the Pee Wee team.
The trophies for the Novice
team were handed out by Sgt;
Gerow, to Mark Turner for most
valuable player and Shawn
Meehan for most improved
player.
For the Mites, Joey Hartford
received a trophy for most
valuable player over all and
David Williamson received a
trophy for most desire and
innitiative.
For most improved over all,
Bobby Motomura and Chad
Weibe received trophies.

themselves as to who should

A large congregation filled
the United Church last Sunday
morning with the pastor Rev.
Murdock Morrison in charge. A
number of Easter fillies were
placed by members in memory
of loved ones. The Varna and
Goshen choirs presented an
Easter Cantata with. Mrs. Doug
McAsh at the organ.
Among the many visitors over
the weekend were Mr. Floyd
McAsh of Hamilton, Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Romney and family
of Victoria Harbour, Mr. and
Mrs. George Dawson of Hensall,
Mr, and Mrs. Bob Mcelymont,
Michael and Shannon of Guelph,
and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Proctor
of Toronto.
