At a winding curve south of James McEwan’s ' resi­ dence the Stroeder car made the turn and went out of control, striking the Collins cat but for­ tunately none of the occupants were injured. Sunday with Mr.^md Mrs. Ab McQuillin, DUNGANNQK Dungannon Wbmeii’s institute The monthly meeting of Dun­ gannon' Women’s Institute was held in the Dungannon United Church on Thursday evening^ Sept. 30th. The meeting was iii charge of Mrs. D. Kilpatrick and. opened in the usual way with 22 members answering the roll call, “A suggestion for an im­ provement in the community”. Each, member had been asked ta bring a youngt mother. There were 11 visitors and five child­ ren also present. Mrs. Brooks conducted th^ business period. The-requestfor-a donationtothe C.N.I.B. was laid over till the next meeting. Mrs. Kilpatrick & Mrs. Irvin were named delegates to the Area ConvehtiDnland -final arrangemerits made for the booth at the Fair on October 13th. Hie program began with singing one verse of O Canaria, and a piano solo by Mrs. Phillips. The motto “The more we know, the better we forgive”, was prepared fey Mrs. .Stewart and read by Mrs. Brown, fpllowed by two violin selections by Eleanor Reed ac­ companied by her mother. Mrs. T’. Clark of Tiger Dunlop Insti­ tute gave the address on public j elations and current events were given by Mrs. Fqwler. The sing­ ing of The Queen closed the meeting.
