The dinner was held at 1.30 with ■;.7'?:'W; names -being signed on the register. The tables were laden, as usual, with a bountiful supply .... of food. 7 ; The gathering was exceptional­ ly pleased to renew- the acquaint­ ance of Mr. and' Mrs.’ Bert How- slett of Hythe, Alberta, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Phillips of Burn­ aby, B.C. Both these couples flew down to attend the reunion. The afternoon was spent in -—sportSj-with-old-and—young—tak=_ ing part and pictures were taken. The prize for the longest mar- < ried couple present went to Mf. and Mts. George Phillips. To the ones coming the longest distance Mr. pnd Mrs. Howlett and' Mr. and Mrs. Albert Phillips. Many , more gathered during . the afternoon and close to a hun­ dred sat down to cake and ice cream at 5.00 o’clock. A special vote of- thanks was tendered to Mrs. Claire Keene of Owen Sound • for her assistance in making the picnic a success. With the 8th reunion now just 4 a pleasant memory, the 9th re­ union is to ibe held at Port Elgin •on June 18th, 1955.
