Fol­ lowing the reports, committees were appointed and plans made for a : “Moth.er and . Daughter Banquet” to be held March 26th. Mrs.’! Alex Andrew* chaired’’the meeting, for thg program: The scripture reading and meditation, based. on the 23rd Psalm, was given by Mrs.. A. Witeon’ and Mrs. Roberts gave, a reading en­ titled “The Old White House”. “Count your Blessings” was the ■harmonica selection by ' Mrs. Breckles: and ‘Mrs. George Joynt repeated an Irish poem. *. The meeting closed with ihymn 18 and the mizpah benediction. A social period followed and the commit­ tee in charge served refresh­ ments, assisted by the hostess. Group 2 of the W.A. On Wednesday, March 10th, Group 2 of the W.A. met at- the church with 20-members ipresent,. Mrs. Kenneth “"Cameron, the pres­ ident, presided and opened the meeting with the motto, followed by the theme bynin and theme ;prayerr-Th^-roll-callvwas^answer^ ed with an Irish joke. Business was discussed with . the date of the Easter tea being set for Thursday afternoon, April 22nd. MrS. Struthers -presided for the program. The scripture lesson and. prayer was. taken by -Mrs. Albert Alton. The history of-Ire- 1 arid and its people was very ably/ given by Miss Dean Mac Leod. Mrs. J. W. Joynt arid Miss Belle Robertson sang a .duet. A„ number cf Irish melodies- as a piano instrumental was'played by Mrs. Harvey, Webster. The meet­ ing closed, by all repeating the mizpah benediction. Mrs. Struth­ ers conducted a contest on the flower basket. Refreshments were served by the committee in charge. Lunch was served by the group in charge and a social hour was en­ joyed by all, ■ • 1 Zion W.M.S. . The March meeting of the W.M.S. was held at the home of -Mrs. Wes Ritchie. There was also a short W.A. meeting. Following the quilting of a quilt, Mrs. Frank “Rit'chie bj^ried "the meeting." The roll call’ was. answered by pay­ ing fees. The Christian Steward­ ship was taken by Mrs. Gordon Ritchie. Mrs: Wes Ritchie played a piano solo. The W°rld Day of Prayer order of worship on the leaflets -was followed. Scripture was read by Mrs. Jake Hunter. Mrs. Wm. G. Hunter is to pre­ pare the program for the April meeting.
