TO BAR 'MINORS'
FROM POOL ROOM
Lucknow Municipal Council met
last, week for the final meeting
of. the year, and it was chiefly
routine business, and a year-endc
clearing of the business slate that
engaged their attention.
Of note,, however, was the de
cision to enforce the statute in
respect to “minors” frequenting
the pool room. The act is pro
hibitive to those under 18 years
unless accompanied by parent or
guardian. ... '■
The section under which Coun-
“The keeper of a licensed; bil-
cif is acting, reads as follows:
liard, , pool or bagatelle room,
kept—d i rect ly- -or ^indirectly -for-
hire or gain, shall not admit
thereto a child under 18 years,
of age, or allow such a child to
remain therein, unless the child
is accompanied bv his parent or
legal guardian”.•J
