Jane Dougherty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Wm. &. Dough-r efty and Mr. William Alexander Potter, son of Mr. and Mrs. A, Grant Potter, Guelph, formerly of Toronto. Rev. E. IS. Baskier officiated at the ceremony. The church was decorated with white gladioli in tall. standards and. the bride was, given in mar- riageJiyuh^^^ imported gown of feather white organdy with a ’ rose • .patterned, embroidered bodice, , and front peplum cascading over a iboqf- fant skirt. The bodice was styled with shirred sleeves and a stand- away triple fold of plain organdy framing the shoulders. Her fin­ gertip veil was fastened ito a headdress of braided organdy, She carried a loose cascade of white gladioli petals and steph­ anotis. • ■ /, ' Mrs. Greg Fraser of Toronto was matron of honor and wore a waltz-length gown of white or­ gandy over -petal- pink—taffeta- with V portrait neckline, shir­ red sleeves arid bouffant skirt with a pink cumberbund sash. She carried a- loose bouquet of tinted pinks and aquamarine dais- ies and wore a garland of some ip-her hair with a veil. The bridesmaids were ; Miss Joan Doliby, Guelph; Miss Ruth Wayibraridt, Toronto, and Miss Audrey Woods, Dundas, as junior bridesmaid. Allan Reed’s bus left St. Helens at 8.00 for Stratford, Here they saw where the Shakespearian plays i are held and enjoyed a drive through the scenic/park, then on ­ to Kitchener where we stopped for dinner? After dinner there were two conducted tours thru the Weston bread shop and Pepsi Cola , bottling works. While in Kitchener they visited the boyhood home of MacKenzie King which is being restored and furnished with fiir.- . nishings from his home in Ot­ tawa. /'.'■• -./ •' ! / From there the bus headed for Guelph .for a tour of the Re­ formatory and O.A.C. and one of the parks. In this park is a replica of the first, hriuse built in Guelph . by the founder, John Galt. In Guelph the ladies went, on a brief shopping spree. The last stop for the day was at Elora Rocks park which the Djeparto^nt/of Highways is going , to make into a beauty stop. The rocks and gorge are aw.e inspir­ ing.
