on in Lochalsh Hall in the near fu
ture. . .
. One bf the worst accidents in, the
vicinity for many years occurred on
the boundary five and one quarter
miles west of Lucknow, Saturday
night, when a car driven by Wallace
Black of Goderich crashed into the
rear of a buggy in which John Joe
Dean oT Kingsbridge was riding.
Mr. Dean was thrown from the bug
gy and instantly killed, the horse
dying about an hour afterwards.
After the constables arrived the
body was mmbved to Kincardine and
a coroner’s jury called ,for Monday
afternoon, but no decision vAl! be
handed Out till Saturday of this week

The directors and officers of the
West Wawanosh Mutual Fire Insur
ance Company, held the regular
monthly meeting iri the company’s*
office in Dungannon, on Thursday.
In the absence of the president, Ern
est Ackert, Dan McKay, vice-presi
dent, occupied the chair. Routine
business, receiving of applications
for insurance and settlement of loss
claims, occupied thekbusineSsportion
of the meeting. Harvey Anderson,
who was a delegate to the annual
convention of the Fire Underwriters’
Association, held in Toronto, gave a
report of .the convention.
The Dramatic Scfciety presents
the farce “The Antics of Andrew”,
under the direction of Mr. Ed.* Sen-
nett. The story opens with a giddy
college youth persuading a trusting
millionaire uncle . in Australia to,
make him an allowance for the sup
port of a purely imaginary wife and
a fictitious mother-in-law. Anything
can happen and it certainly does.
Come to Lochalsh on April 15th for
an evening of fun and laughter.
