COUNCIL MEETS
Hensall'i mill rate for 1969 is
only slightly higher than last
year's, according to Earl
Campbell, clerk.
The residential rate for both
separate and public school
supporters will be 80.7 mills, an
increase of 1.7 mills over -1968.
The commercial rate will be 93.8
mills, up 2.4 mills from 1968.
Mr. Campbell said the increase
might have been from seven to
nine mills this year had it not
been that a water works
debenture and a PUC deficit
were paid off last year.
The total assessment for the
village is $1,220,950. Among
those building permits to whom
were issued by council this
month are General Coach works
for extensive interior renovation
and Cook Brothers Milling for
renovation and general
improvements.
The next meeting will be
Sept. 2.
