Why Is.. This Election Necessary?
The Department .of,,,,Edwatioh. has amended the Education Act and on Monday, December 2,
1968 the above Municipalities will elect TWO representatives to a new 14 member Huron County
Board of Edueatio-r4 replace POlic.'orkd .Hig,144Schqpk.,goarcis

Whir Am I Asking For Your Support?
',It will 'be a Challenge to provide the"typeof education which the people of this County desire,.
for their children and also keep the cost at a reasonable level. The new Board needs members who are:
EXPERIENCED — 15 years on the Clinton District High School Board.
— 1 year as the Clinton District High School Organization Committee studying the problems of
the new board.
— Business experience necessary to assist in the control of an eight million dollar ($8,000,000)
budget.
PARENT AND TAXPAYER — Children attending both Public and High. School provides me with an
added incentive for good education. On the other hand, having to pay high school taxes makes
it equally important to cut all unnecessary costs.
If Elected I Will Recommend That The New Board:
1. Proceed. SLOWLY and appoint the existing school boards as committees to operate their schools
until the new board-is in a proper position to take them over.
2. Study the Hall — Dennis Report on education and advise the Department of Education on it's
findings.
3. Locate the County Board of Education administration offices in CLINTON and, utilize the ,
practically empty Nurse's residence.
I RESPECTFULLY SOLICIT YOUR SUPPORT AND URGE.THAT ALL ELIGIBLE VOTERS VOTE
