Hemel United Church was
the setting for a lovely autumn
wedding Saturday, October 26,
at 2:30 p.m. when Reverend
Harold F. Currie united in
marriage Patricia Lorraine Harris
and William Leonard`Noakes in a
double ring ceremony amid
floral background of candlehre
'and baskets of white mums
edged in blue, The bride is the
daagliter of Mrs. Percy Harris
and the late Mr. Percy Harris of
RR 1 Ciemarty, and the grooms
parents are Mr. 'and Mrs.
Leonard Noakes, Hensall.
Mrs, John Turkhpim provided
traditional wedding music and
accompanied the soloist Gary
Scholl of Hensall who sang "The
Wedding Prayer" and "0 Perfect
Love."
Given in marriage by her
brother Beverly Harris the bride
was lovely in a floor-length
wedding gown of Chantilly lace
and Ligoda on empire lines. The
bodice fashioned lily point
sleeves and scalloped neckline. A
semi-A-line skirt featuring a
front panel of Ligoda swept to a
chapel train, a dainty headpiece
of rosettes and petals held a four
tier veil of French illusion, and
she carried a cascade of red
sweetheart roses and trailingivy.

Hensall and bridesmaids Miss
Brenda Noakes, Hensall, sister of
groom, and Mrs. Gail Moss, RR
1 Auburn, were gowned
identically in floor length gowns
of periwinkle blue silk crepe
;pomplimented by the deep
,illusion, blue velvet bodice.
,Delicate daisy , motifs of the
same velvet accented the Empire
waist line, the back was caught
by a soft crepe bow. They
carried matching, blue velvet
muffs with red roses and white
:mums, and they wore tier blue
short het veils with a velvet bow.

was groomsman, and Leslie
Riley of Hensall, and Tom
Dalrymple of RR 2 Kippen
ushered guests.

session Monday evening with all
members present. Mr. J. G.

Thomas Kyle Sr. Hensall, who
observed their 65th wedding
anniversary Yesterday held a
surprise dinner for them at their
home Brock Street, Hensall, on
Sunday. The couple were the
recipients of gifts, flOwers and
congratulatory messages.
Their marriage was solemized
in the Anglican Parish, Hensall.
•. Mr. Kyle is the son of the late
Mr. and Mrs. William Kyle,
formerly of Tuckersmith. Mrs.
Kyle the daughter of the late Mr,

Society of Carmel Presbyterian
Church met in the Sunday

the meeting by reading two

chaired a brief meeting for the
Ladies Aid which followed the
W.M.S. meeting, and opened
with a poem, Interesting items
of business were discussed. The
group will have a quilting and
pot luck dinner at the church

under the auspices of Hensall
branch of the Canadian Legion
468 will be observed Sunday
November 10 with a service and
placing of wreaths at the
Cenotaph at 10;45 arm. A
parade headed by Exeter Legion
Pipe Band, Legion, Auxiliary,
Guides and Brownies and their
leaders will March .to the United
Church where service will be
held at 11 a.m. and will be
addressed by the Minister Rev,
Harold F. Currie. Any veterans
wishing to attend the parade will
be welcome. A supper for all

The young couple will reside
in Hensall.
Prior to marriage the bride
was feted at several functions,
her mother entertained at a
trousseau tea afternoon and
