Arts,
Keen competition is expected
in the arts and crafts section.
Last winter's night school
stimulated interest in this field
and many entries are expected.
Prizes are awarded in these
classes for oil paintings, water
colors and crafts, including wood
carving, leather craft, amateur
photography and shell work.
Theme of the fair board this
year is more practical competi
tion. Evidence of this is appar
ent in almost all of the sections
of the fair. The prizes have been
revised to emphasize local pro
duce and to encourage more ex
hibitors.
The home department, under
the supervision of Mrs. R. W.
Kestle and Mrs. 0. Brintnell, has
been adjusted to promote more
competition.
The

kinson, Dublin; Lucknow, Cecil

All members were nominated
by a striking committee headed
by Frank Donnelly, Q.C., of
Goderich. They were all elected
by acclamation.
In making the nominations,
Mr. Doneliy paid tribute to re
tiring secretary Clark Fisher, of
Exeter, who, he said, was one
of the most faithful members of
the party.
