Details of the ten $10 grants will be worked out by the execu tive at a later date but senti ment at this week’s meeting fav ored having each township nom inate a candidate with the suc cessful ten to be chosen from this list. Change Vote Rights A notice of motion to amend the constitution was presented. This change in the constitution would give all township federa tion officials the right to vote at the county annual meeting. At the present time only two I representatives from each town- | ship are entitled to vote and one I from each affiliated organiza- s lion. The representation from the affiliated organizations would remain the same. It was felt that this would encourage more people to attend the county an- I nual meeting. i It was decided to have the an- i nual county banquet on a separ ate date from the annual meet ing. It was tentatively decided to hold the banquet on October • 29 with Cameron McTaggart, of | Glencoe, as guest speaker and to have the annual meeting on November 12. Beef Men To Meet The beef producers committee asked to call a county meeting of all interested beef producers to seek some solution to market ing difficulties which the beef industry is encountering at the present time with indications that marketing conditions may become steadily worse unless some solution is found for hand ling surplus beef which built up on the farms due to the recent foot and mouth epidemic in Western Canada.
