The local fans enjoyed the good hockey game on Saturday evening, Mr. W. J. Davis, Mr. C. Davis and Mr. H. Davis visited on Sun­ day afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Garfield Needham of Lojrdon Township. Mrs. F. Davis spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M, Ji. Elston. Mr. and Mrs. C. Ings of Lon­ don spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Carroll. The social evening held in the parish hall on Monday evening last was very successful and an enjoyable evening was reported by all present. They will be dis­ continued through Lent. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Atkinson, Mr. and Mrs. D. Maguire, Mr. and Mrs. J. Dickins, Mr. and Mrs. M. Abbott and Mr. and Mrs. M. McDonald were guests on Saturday evening at the for­ tieth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. W. Maguire of Brinsley held in the Memorial Arena, Lucan. Mr. and Mrs. J. Barker and Joan and Mr. and Mrs. E. Greenlee and boys were Sunday evening dinner guests with Mr, and Mrs. H. Davis, Mr. and Mrs. R. Greenlee at­ tended church service at St. George's Church, London Town­ ship, on Sunday morning and as them dinner .guests, Mrs. Greenlee’s father, Mr. M. Guil- foyle and brother, Mr. Guilfoyle. Mr. ’ and Mrs. M. McDonald and family were Sunday evening dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. T. Kooy of McGillivray Town­ ship. Crediton Women’s Report On C.N.I.B. Cempei^n . president, Mrs. R. Motz, was in charge of the regular meeting of Crediton Women’s Institute meeting held on Wednesday eve­ ning in the council chambers. Two minutes’ silence was ob­ served in memory of the late King George yi, followed by singing “God Save the Queen”’. The meeting was under direc­ tion of Citizenship and Educa­ tion Committee and roll was answered by naming “The Best Book I Have Read this Year”.
