Kendrick performed the ceremony when Marion Blanche, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith McLaren, Cromarty, became the bride of Kenneth Robert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Cudmore, Exeter. The altar was hanked with a profusion of gladioli, as­ ters and dahlia, which made a beautiful setting for the cere­ mony. Given in marriage by her fath­ er, the bride wore a floor-length gown of white slipper satin with nylon yoke and lace. trim. Her floor-length veil was caught at the crown with a halo of net. She carried an arm bouquet of Talisman roses. She was attend­ ed by her sister, Joyce as maid- of-honor dressed in pink taffeta. Miss Ida Blanchard as brides­ maid in blue taffeta and sister Wanda as junior bridesmaid in pink taffeta. Each wore matching headdresses and carved nosegays or roses and mums in pastel colors. Gloria Dezell acted as flower girl dressed in blue nylon over taffeta with matching head­ dress and nosegay while Ross Beaver, cousin of the bride was ring-bearer. Miss Marion Finkbeiner play­ ed the wedding music and Mr. Stephen Kendrick sang "The Lord’s Prayer” and "Because”. The groom was attended by his brother Grant Cudmore as best man and Tom Kennedy and Kenneth Rennick as ushers. The reception- was held at the home of the bride, the bride’s mother receiving in wine crepe with black accessories, assisted by the groom’s mother in wine crepe with black accessories, both with matching corsages of roses.
