Monday evening, December 6,
another good meeting of the
^Lieury Farm Forum was held at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Carey. There were, twenty-nine
members present. The topic
discussion was "As Others
Us”. A half hour followed
thia discussion. Aterwards,
Albert Armstrong and Arthur
Thompson entertained the large
group 'with a couple of lively
games, A nice lunch was then
served and a social half hour
enjoyed, It was decided to hold
the next Farm Forum meeting
December 12 at the home of Mr.

resident of Zurich district, died
suddenly at his home Tuesday
from a stroke which, he suffered
during -the night, He was one of
the best known farmers of the
area, and was a member1 of Zur
ich Evangelical Church.
Besides his wife, Jie leaves
four sons, Theodore, Zurich; El
mer and William Jr., at home;
Albert, Clinton; and 3 daughters,
Mrs. R. Twamley, Stratford;
Mrs. R. Petzke, of Hensall; Mrs.
Garfield Broderick, of Exeter,
and one brother, Rev. H. Leibold,
of Sebringville. The funeral will
take place from his late residence
Thursday, at 2:30 p.m. conducted
ed by Rev. H. A. Roppell, with
interment in the Babylon Ceme
tery.

service of the W.M.S. held In
the basement of the church on
December 1. The president, Mrs.
G. Waniess, was in charge. The
worship service consisted of the
singing of carols and responsive
reading, a Christmas message by
Mrs. Waniess, scripture lessons
by Mrs. C. Cumin, Mrs. G. Dann,
and prayer, Mrs. Cf. Wilson had
charge of the program. The
theme was "Our Faith in Jesus
Christ”, This Was a candlelight
service and was carried through
in a reverant, liiilxurriod spirit
with Christmas Carols interven
ing. Those assisting were Mrs.
b. Wilson, Mrs. A, Rundle, Mrs/
W. Wilson, and Miss L. Hack
ney. Mrs. L. Thacker favoured
with a solo followed with prayer
by the president. The usual
business was transacted and the
meeting closed by repeating the
benediction in Unison. Lunch
