Dancing 9:00-1:00 a.m. Admission 25c Ailsa Craig Child Rushed To Hospital Four-year-old -Charles Dray­ man, R.R. 1, Ailsa Craig, is al­ most ready for home , after a three-day visit to St. Joseph's Hospital, London. The child had a speedy trip from Ailsa Craig to hospital in the middle of the night when he complained of a “horrible pain" and medical care was not avail­ able at home. Doctors in London could find nothing seriously wrong with the boy and he has improved stead­ ily. It is expected he will be able to leave in another couple of days, Provincial Police Constable Hugh MacDonald was called early Saturday morning when the boy’s mother was unable to I and" Dianne,’of ’Hamiltonr Mr. X contact a doctor. The constable’ - - - ---- took the boy to the city. Mr. and Mrs. William Hill of Toronto are visiting in Exeter, renewing old acquaintances and looking up some of the familiar landmarks. It is fifty years since Mr. Hill left Exeter and he has been a continuous reader of The Exeter Times-Advoeate. His chief interest in the paper is the “Fif­ ty Years Ago” column which brings back pleasant memories. Next year’s officers are: Presi­ dent, Laurie Colquhoun, Clinton; secretary, Mrs. Everett Kerslake, Toronto; lunch committee, Mrs. John Wallace, Mrs. J, M. Scott, Mrs. Alvin Kemp; sports, Mr. and Mrs, Ken Duncan, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Duncan, Kirkton. It was voted to have next year’s picnic on the second Sunday in July at Seaforth Park. The oldest person present was Duncan McKellar, Sr., of Crom­ arty, and the youngest was Faye Duncan, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Duncan, Kirkton. Mr. James A. Saunders of Woodstock visited with Mr. and Mrs. M. Beckler on Monday. Mrs. Tom Campbell, who has been a patient in .Victoria Hos­ pital, London, for .the past two weeks, expects to be home the end of this week. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Howey of London spent the holiday week-end visiting the former’s mother, Mrs. L. F. Howey. Mr. Norman Hern of Norwich is holidaying at the home of his sister, Miss Olive Hern. The game was a replay of one played in Hensail on .June 14. Exeter protested the first tilt. After a scoreless first inning Hensall dug in with two runs and never Jet up until the final inning when Howie Holtzmann took over the mound chore. Exe­ ter On the other hand couldn’t do a thing right. Ormerod was the starting pitcher. He was lifted in the fourth for Shaw who pitched the next three frames before Holtzmann went in to pitch the final inning. Houghton went the full nine frames for Hensall and allowed but six hits. Hensall had two big innings, the third and fourth. They scored five runs in each. .Exeter scored one run in the second and two in the fourth. Besides pitching the winning performance Houghton collected four singles and a triple in six times at bat while Corbett had four singles and a double out of Six. For Exeter, Omerod hit safely for all but two of the local hits, He had three .singles air'd a triple in four times at bat for a perfect night. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hyde and family of near Hurondale have just returned from a four-week trip to the West. During the trip they visited the Stampede at Calgary, Vancouver, and Yel­ lowstone Park. Miss Helen Hardy of Toronto is spending her holidays with Miss Helen Anthony, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. .Sanders went to Detroit last week where they joined Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Edwards and -Miss Harriet Knipe. The party continued from there by motor to visit relatives in Kenora. Miss Vera Rowe has received word that her cousin, Mr. T. Dodds Holloway, of Mai-yfield, Saskatchewan, .(formerly of Clin­ ton), passed away suddenly last week. M'r. Holloway was manager of the Royal Bank in -Maryfield for several years. The funeral will be held in Clinton on Fri­ day. Mrs. Dorothy Alberta, spend a of her parents, Mr. A. Traquair, John Street. Barbara Kernick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Kernick, Thames Road, returned home on Sunday after spending a week in Exeter with her grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. C. W. Down. .
