Tlilemqy of Detroit visited with Mrs, Thiemer's sister, Mrs. A. E. Wuerth, over the week-end. Mrs. O’Briar, of Trenton, Ont,, paid a visit to her daughter and son-in-law, WO1 and Mrs. A. Maskell, prior to Mrs. O’Briar’s leaving for London, England,* on July 15 for a visit with relatives and friends, Mr. H. fi, Walter enjoyed a visit from members of his family who were here over the week­ end. Mr. Stanley Walter motored from Smith’s Falls to Timmins where he visited with his bro­ ther Tom. Accompanied by Tom, Mrs. Walter, two daughters and one son, they motored to Exeter. At the same time Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Grant of London, accom­ panied by Mr. and Mrs. William Walter of' Crystal City, Man., motored up and enjoyed a faxn- ily reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Neil left Tuesday on a motor trip to the West and will take in the Cal­ gary Stampede. Jack Southcott, son of Rev. and Mrs. R. E. Southcott, Oil City, is working at Southcott Bros, for the summer months. On Sunday afternoon W. C. Pearce attended the funeral of Mr. George Lumley, Elgin coun­ ty treasurer, at Iona, and later' Mrs. E. Willis, who l’or . the past six months has been con­ fined to her bed recuperating from a fractured hip, is .now able to sit up a little each day. Mrs. Mtfry Hannigan, Marj and Mr, Harold Holtzman spent a few days in Niagara .Falls and attended the funeral in Welland of the late Mrs. Hodgson, sister- in-law of Mrs. Hannigan. Miss Patricia Cox of Niagara Falls' returned with them to spend a few weeks with Mrs. Hannigan.
