packed Friday afternoon for the

George Wright discovered a cou
ple of would-be robbers in his
gents’ furnishings store, gather

which they quickly dropped and
fled as Mr, Wright called to

Pentecostal Tabernacle in Exeter
and practically the whole inter
ior was destroyed. The fire start

The Hensall Stock Fair Wed
nesday afternoon proved to be a
very successful affair with fine
weather .prevailing. There were
some fine entries in both the
horse and cattle classes.
The Exeter Hockey Club was
banqueted in the Central Hotel
Wednesday night to wind up a
successful winter of hockey. The
reeve, councillors and clerk sat
in on the turkey feed along with
some twenty players and the ex
ecutive of the club.
