She was the widow of Daniel Schroeder and came to reside in Lucan from London fourteen years ago. Stanley Funeral services for Harry Stanley, eighty-nine, of Lucan, were conducted December 29 by Rev. L. C. Harrison in C. J. Murdy and Son’s funeral home and interment' made in St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye. Pallbearers were N. F. and H. S. Stanley, Chester Ryan, Har old Coursey, Basil Edwards and Ward Hodgins. My. Stanley was born and raised on the Coursey Line and had been an auctioneer’ thirty- six years. He was a member of Irving Masonic Lodge, the esters and Orange Lodge. Survivors are two sons, vey, Washington, D.C.; and Lucan, two g: San Antonia, American air force, and Vivian, Lucan. A. For- Har- Roy ;randchildren, Owen , Texas, with the M rs. Albert P enprase Mrs. Albert Penprase, of Tor onto, a former resident of Exe ter, passed away on Sunday. Her maiden name was Edith Brown, daughtei* of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Brown. For many years Miss Brown was organist of the James Street - United Church before her marriage to Mr. Penprase. The deceased was an aunt of Mr. Herbert Bissett, Mrs. John Jones and Mrs. Har vey, of London. Mr. Brown, nephew. Mrs. Penprase was ied in Prospect Cemetery, onto, on Wednesday. Mrs. Albert Mitchell The funeral of the late Mrs. Albert Mitchell was held Satur day afternoon last conducted by Rev. H. J. Snell assisted by Rev. G. Weir, of Centralia. The pall bearers Messrs. Hodgson, son, ne th bearers Brooks, Johns, Wm. Pybus, Wm. Frank Gunning, Edgar and John Crocker. Mrs. Mitchell, whose name was Zeta Andrew, born near Elimville, " _ of Mr. and Mrs. John Andrew. In 1904 she was united in mar riage with Mr. Mitchell and for forty-one years they lived oxi the Mitchell homestead, lot 2, con cession 3, Biddulph, moving to Exeter three years ag’o. She was the last of a .family of three brothers and two sisters, sides her husband she is vived Wm. Hobbs, son, two grandchildren, and Donald Hobbs. Elimville North Forum The Elimville North Farm Forum met on Monday night_at the home of Mr. and Mrs. win Miller. The topicT “A Cushion Disaster” was discussed. Forum thought that in general our area had great extent, hail, flood, that damage in some thought that in view of the fact that we have no insurance on our crops while they are in the field, that* insurance would be a benefit, although the pre miums would be very high, due to the risi'.S and -certain government help- .fwould ;be necessary. There were twenty-four mem bers present. Contests were en joyed by all, Lunch was served. The next meeting will be .held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Johns. The Forum Mrs. Davi d Joh nson Funeral service for the late Mrs. David Johnson, of Grand Bend, was conducted on Fri day, December 31, by her pastor, the Rev. K. M. Wood. There was a brief service at her home and following interment in Grand Bend Cemetery, a memorial ser vice in the United Church. Mr. H. Hoffman sang, and the pall bearers were Messrs. John Gill, Wellwood Gill, Isaac Bestard, Ezra Webb, J- W. Holt and Emery DesJardins. Mrs. John son’s Sunday school class of teen-aged 'girls attended in a body. , The many beautiful floral tri butes testified to the high es teem in which the late Mrs. Johnson was held. She was very active in the women’s organiza tions of the United Church and in the Sunday School where she had taught continuously for over twenty-five years. During war years she was a valued member of the Grand Bend unit of the Red Cross, act ing as sewing convenor. Dozens of articles of „ wearing as well as quilts passed her hands. The whole community expressing sympathy to reaved, survivors, Mrs. Unique Farm Forum The Unique Farm Forum met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schade with twenty- two present. The discussion “Cushion for Disaster” was led by Mr. Bert Klopp and went as follows: The disasters which have occurred in. this area, are if any, wind and hail; These disasters can be met by insur ance . and neighborly co-opera tion.
