VODDEN. Thank you to all who
supported us from Nov. 9, 2012 to
the present: to Joyce and Dana Bean
and June and Bob Thomas who
drove us again and again and to our
special friend, Lorna Whitmore who
got us to appointments on time and
who collected our mail. Your respect
and compassion will not be
forgotten; to the back-up drivers who
kindly left us phone numbers; to
Rev. Gary Clark who found us in a
London Hospital and visited with us
at home when he delivered pies for
the United Church ladies; to the
doctors and staff at Clinton Public
Hospital who more than once
provided “the bridge” to life-saving
care at other sites. It was important
and reassuring to us to learn that
Clinton Public Hospital is so well
respected beyond its immediate area.
We are ever appreciative of the work
of the teams of doctors, nurses and
other experts at the Trauma Centre,
Dialysis Unit and on 6C at London
Health Sciences Centre, Victoria
Campus, London, whose respect and
compassion for patient and family
members, added to their exceptional
professional medical care and
expertise, set Brock on the road to
recovery. We want to offer special
thanks to all those who supported
our son, Kent, who came from Nova
Scotia to provide us with loving care
and oversight both in hospital and at
home. We are indeed fortunate to
live in such a wonderful
community. – Janis and Brock
Vodden and family. 48-1
JOHNSTON. The family of the late
Robert Franklin Johnston would like
to express their deepest gratitude and
appreciation for all of the love,
kindness and thoughtful gestures
during this time of bereavement. We
could not have asked for a better
doctor in Dr. Hay. We would also
like to thank the supporting doctors
and wonderful staff at Clinton Public
Hospital. Thank you for keeping our
loved one comfortable and
answering any questions that we
had. Special thanks to OneCare and
all staff that spent endless hours
maintaining Frank’s quality of life.
Your hard work will never be
forgotten. Thank you Peter Roy, Stan
Johns and John Gibson for speaking
at Frank’s service. We really
appreciate you taking time to share
your heartfelt memories with family
and friends. We would also like to
show our appreciation for the
support and guidance of the Falconer
Funeral Home. Thank you Amanda
Rich. The funeral service performed
by Colin Snyder gave comfort and
inspiration to everyone present. We
wish to express our thanks for such a
beautiful service. Thanks to
pallbearers Peter Roy, Stan Johns,
John Gibson, Earl Johnston, Alvin
Zacharjewicz and Trent Johnston,
honorary pallbearers Ian Hulley and
Lorne Dale and flower bearers Erica
Johnston, Stacey O’Neill and Lian
Hill. Thank you to the UCW ladies
for preparing a lovely lunch. Thank
you for donations to the MS Society
or charity of your choice. We truly
have so much to be thankful for. We
are blessed with great friends and
family. – The Johnston family. 48-1
