NOBLE. They say every boy should
have a dog...Oliver’s new best friend
has arrived! Captains Mike and
Nicole are thrilled to announce the
birth of their first child, a boy.
Beckett John Noble hit it out of the
park when he arrived at 8:27 p.m. on
Oct. 29, 2012. Born at South Bruce
Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, our
rookie weighed in at 7 lbs. 4 oz. and
measured up at 21 1/2" long.
Cheering in the stands are first-time
grandparents Murray and Ruth Lowe
of Brussels, third-time grandparents
Tammy Noble of Fordwich and Ken
Noble of Gorrie and fourth-time
Great-Gran Gwynne Brown of
Gorrie. Also welcoming him to the
team are Uncle John Lowe of
Brussels and Aunt Melissa and
Uncle Jeff Wormington of Goderich.
Cousins Makenna and Jack
Wormington can’t wait for Beckett
to join them on the field. We would
like to thank our coaches, Susan
Wilts and Sarah Heikoop from
Huron Community Midwifery
Services for their wonderful care,
encouragement and ongoing
support. Thank you to Dr. Sue
McArthur and the amazing nursing
staff at the SBGHC, Walkerton for
the excellent care and for making
our stay very comfortable. 46-1
SHORTREED. The family of Jason
Shortreed wishes there was a better
word than “thanks” to express our
profound appreciation to all who
helped us through this most difficult
time with the passing of our darling
Jason. Family, friends and
neighbours, we thank you for the
flower arrangements, condolence
cards and emails, memorial
donations, ornaments and trees, food
brought to the house and for the
delicious meal prepared for us
between visitations. Your generosity
is very much appreciated. Special
thanks to Frank at the Schimanski
Family Funeral Home for your care
and guidance, to Rev. Elwin Garland
for your comforting words and the
ladies at Melville Presbyterian
Church for the lovely lunch. Thank
you to the honorary pallbearers
Clare and Harold and pallbearers
Jim, J.C., Michael, Greg, Steven and
Darrell. Thank you to the flower
bearers, Melissa and Jennifer. We are
also sincerely grateful for the
compassionate care given and show
to Jason by all the nursing staff at

within our hearts and in our

with us forever. – Valerie, Matthew,
