Thank you to the medical team at the Oncology Centre in London, including Dr. Prefontaine and Dr. Welsch and the nursing staff at the Wingham Community Hospital where Marianna received her treatments. Every one of you make a difference, every day, to every cancer patient. Thank you to Norma, from Huron Hospice, you were a strength that we all drew from. Thank you to all of the wonderful people who work through CCAC and One Care. There are so many of you who helped Marianna on this journey and we appreciate every kind action and smile from every one of you. A special thank you to Allison for all of her understanding and assistance. To all of the caring staff at Seaforth Community Hospital, there is not enough that can be said about the level of care that Marianna received, from the nurses to the emergency room doctors, and all who work at the hospital. We are so grateful for all you do! The nurses especially, who were there to support Marianna during the most painful times, we will always remember what an amazing group of individuals you are. A very special thank you to Dr. Agnieszka Kluz, who brought a smile to Marianna’s face, every time she walked in the room. A sincere thank you to Father Morrison who is a constant source of faith and support through his prayer and presence. Also, thank you to Father Chris for all the visits and prayers, they were so much appreciated. Thank you to all of our friends and family who attended the visitation and the funeral, sent cards, gifts, brought meals to the house and especially for the mass intentions. Thank you to the Sisters of St. Joseph for attending the funeral in honour of Sister Teresa Ryan, who is in Africa, and was unable to offer her support in person. Thank you to the Schimanski Family Funeral Home for the thoughtful attention to detail and support. Special thank you to pallbearers, Lorne Glanville, Albrecht Ringgenberg, Robert VanderWouden, Greg Ryan, Matthew Ryan, and Jeff Grobbink; to Rosie Grobbink, Carl VanderWouden and Anita Gregory for funeral readings; and to Nita McClure, Bonnie Glanville and Marijan Grobbink for bearing flowers. We know Marianna was smiling down, with all the people who came to her visitation and her funeral mass, which were both a beautiful celebration of her life.
