Batten. The choir looked lovely in new choir gowns of black and white. The guest speaker was Rev. iDale, of Fullarton, for both services. The pulpit was beautifully decorated with flow­ ers and palms. The ladies of the Women’s Institute are asked to attend the meeting in the Exeter Town Hall on Thursday afternoon, com­ mencing at 1:00 p.m. The W.M.S. and W.A. ladies and husbands are asked to meet in the church basement Thurs­ day evening to put up tables and prepare for the supper the fol­ lowing night. Quite a number -attended the Hallowe’en party in Winchelsea Shool last Friday evening. Mr. Martelle favoured with several numbers on his guitar. The Elimville Mission Circle entertained the Thames Road Mission Circle last Friday eve­ ning in Elimville Church base­ ment. The Thames Road Mission Circle provided a splendid pro­ gram. Games and contests were enjoyed and lunch was served at the close. Mr. and Mrs. J. Nekachuk and family returned home -on Tues­ day after spending two weeks in Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hayden, of Jviolesworth, visited on Sun­ day Witli Mr. and Mrs. Squire Herdman. Miss Margaret Walters, of Winchelsea, spent the week-end with Miss Lenore Cooper. Ireland, of Stratford, is visiting with her sister, Mrs. Tieman. Mrs. Tillie Kraft has returned home after spending a few weeks in London. Miss .Antionette Ziler, of Lon­ don, spent a few days with her sister, Mrs. Harry Zimmer. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Kraft, of London, spent the week-end with relatives. Mr.' and Mrs. Ted Luft and baby Nancy and Mr. and Mrs. Clare Blue and daughters, Bon­ nie and Sherry, all of Hanover, were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Merner. Mrs. E. R. Guenther left on Tuesday for Florida where she will attend the funeral of her brother-in-law, Mr. J. Petzold. Mrs. Guenther intends remain­ ing with her sister for a few weeks. Friends and relatives from London, Thames Road and Plug­ town gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Norman McDonald this past week to honor this couple. After a social chat, the evening was spent with euchre. Refeshments were served by the hostess and her friends. Numer­ ous gifts were presented to the bride and groom. Mr. Jack Robinson and Mr. Clayton Ross, who spent the past two months in the western provinces, going as far as Van­ couver .where they visited Arran Hanna, a former Kirkton boy, returned home this past week.
